A very impressive Q & A response but lets not forget here that he managed a small club where he had the freedom of choosing players with the backing of his chairman and board......This is a massive step up in the championship and if the past is anything to go by he won't get the freedom he is use to at Swansea and that is a major worry here. He will need time and i hope he uses the pre-season well and if i had one wish it would be that the chairman and board change their policy and let the manager have full responsibility over who we buy and who we let go with the full backing a manager deserves.

I am quite excited by this, just tempered with the worry will the board back him and allow him to pick what players we want or will we go back down the route of Jenkins picking some of our old players. Still one good one in the bag, lets see the rebuild start asap.
I liked his comment that relegation from the PL might be seen to be the best thing that happened in a few years time. Suggests to me he's being given carte blanche to start from scratch. Let's hope so and we get rid of the non performers and deadwood and he hopefully that he gets the backing he needs.

It will be a season of avoiding relegation if the club dont change it's policy in a lot of things it does. Pott's on paper looks to be the right manager for us but he will never be successful without change and backing.....We need to speculate to accumulate now even if we occur some debt in our first couple of seasons...
Dai. for you to accumulate some debt you need collateral (assets) and you have none...unless.... a big unless....the owners stump up some sort of guarantee or dob in some cash themselves. it's the only debt yo can get. Our debt is the same sort of debt...we are simply lucky we have an owner who will put the requisite money in. Mad as a box of frogs, some say he is. But he can afford it and he wants to. Not sure your hedge fund managers can persuade the 27 owners to do the same.

I'm afraid Jenkins isn't going anywhere soon so why break a habit of a lifetime .The guy's got history of doing many things right but over the recent years with the money he's wasted he should have been shown the door the guys made from teflon .
You can say that about every manager we have had.....They all had great theories but unless they are backed 100% then them theories are nothing more than soundbites...
