Gerrard WAS a great player. However, injuries, and age, have taken their toll, IMO. He may still be good in short bursts, but I very much doubt that Liverpool can keep him fit enough to play regularly over 90 mins.

This time last year we'd just got rid of the debt H&G had put us in,been taken over by new owners, appointed a manager that was totally unsuitable who took us to the bottom three in the league.

From KK's appointment in January until last saturday afternoon we have got "back on track",Ok its very early days in the new season mate but if you cant see the difference between 3rd bottom and 3rd top in 12 months you must be blind.

    Awww <hug>

Not surprised to hear that dimwit is KPR. It seems he's universally mocked on all the boards he goes on and I suspect Syd and co are rather embarrassed that he was ever made mod <laugh>

Injuries, new signings bedding in, etc..

Didn't know about his comments on Munich and I doubt I'll want to read the, is this why he's had a name change?

A lot of that is down to form though. Under Hodgson your form (for whatever reason) was mostly dire and since Dalglish arrived you have been pretty much flying. Yes you've added plenty of depth now but you can only play 11 at a time. Liverpool have started this season in good form as well but in the greatest respect to clubs such as Sunderland and Bolton, Liverpool should expect to beat these clubs and the Arsenal result was not as one sided or conclusive as a 2-0 away win would seem to be. I think it is fair to say that Liverpool have not yet really been tested this season, whereas Spurs for example have faced the two strongest sides in the league, one of them away from home. I am making excuses for a poor start but get over it, they are valid ones.

You have improved but don't get carried away too much yet. If you are still third in 4/5 months time then it may be time to get excited. If we are last at that point then it will be time for us to be seriously worried as well.

Reason: he has the tactical nous of a baked potato covered in tomato kechup and peanut flavoured ice cream.

Appears to be working well at WBA though doesn't he? Practically turned their season around last year IIRC. I don't think Liverpool was ever the right place for him unfortunately, but there's no doubt that Hodgson is a good manger. From an outsider it just seemed that he never had the right relationship with either the players or the fans.

Hodgson was the wrong man, at the wrong club at the wrong time.

Still a good manager and West Brom will stay up this season under Roy.

His style of play was woeful, it didn't get the best out of the players we had, and he was very stubborn with it I thought. His purchases will go down as absolutely piss poor in the end, Rafa bought some clangers but these were pretty bad by Hodgson!

There is one major reason why Spurs will fail to do anything....Redknapp. He was good enough to get Spurs into the top four once...but even David Moyes managed that, and he didn't spend 1/10th of the money Redknapp did.
He's been found out, and he has contradicted himself
on a regular basis, well now we know where Jamie gets that from. Last year he said Spurs were good enough to win the title, and now he's saying they aren't strong enough to compete. As far as I'm concerned he's poor mouthing and its simply ''Wah Wah Wah, its not fair Liverpool spent loads of money''

The only fixtures that worry me are Old Trafford and the City games. There's almost always a freak loss against relegation fodder but we beat Arsenal comfortably so maybe this year's the exception.

More self-delusion. Nobody does it quite like you scousers. You did NOT beat Arsenal comfortably. It was a game that could quite easily have gone either way, until the sending off. They are currently an average, pretty demoralised outfit - United handed them their arses. There's the difference - Get real, will you??

Can't this KPR troll just get re-banned? It's so tiresome reading his dribble. Or maybe just take this off our board? As I've said, if we wanted to talk to Liverpool fans we'd go on their board.

Probably might have helped if Dalglish hadn't been undermining him, and stabbing him in the back, at ever opportunity.

People can say this but it was plain to see Hodgson and his style were not cut out for LFC. Just reading Agger's comments today compared to when he was lashing out at hodgson, why? With hodgson he was told to hoof and he did not want to, so he opted for Skrtel, with Dalglish the ball is on the deck and it is becoming a joy to watch again. Hodgson tactics, practices, and style were not accepted at all by the players.

If anything the players gave up on Hodgson, but I suspect they saw the new owners as an oppurtunity to get him out and someone new in. Just my theory as well with it.

It wasn't just Agger that had a problem with Hodgson. There were more players than just Agger that he upset. Something just didn't sit right when he was manager. He didn't help himself either with some of his comments.
With Kenny, you know what you are going to get, he knows the club from top to bottom. A wise man once said ''you can say a lot by saying very little''. Kenny does that. Hodgson at times said very little by saying alot.

Defending Roy is like defending Stalin. You can't unless you're opposition.
