Manager didn’t cause it any more than o Leary caused ours. Any manager worth his salt will push harder and harder to bring in as big name players as he can. It’s up to the financial people a la risdale to decide if they can afford them. I’d prefer a manager like Bruce that would push the board than yes men nobodies like we’ve had recently
Yeah, but it is the manager that sell the owners, the spend this amount for me and I'll get you up ****...
They still have final say. Bruce didn’t sign grealish or mc Cormack as they were already there. What they were earning had nothing to do with him. He signed Terry on a years contract. Cost 60k a week but no fee so that’s 3m for the season. Was well worth it has had a galvanizing effect on and off the field
Was he only there this season, honestly don't know? Terry was on 100k a week and he brought all the big cost loan players in, ultimately he was part of the big gamble they made and failed.
Most managers are of the "buy better players" mentality. This is the José Mourinho approach. and he typifies it more than anyone. If it doesn't work, buy more players....then more.... The best managers see talent before its fully developed and develop it themselves. Or a great player whose best days may be behind him but has something special still left to give. Or coach an average player into become a good player. Revie saw something in Giles. Wilkinson recognized that Strachen still had something special left to give.
Not so sure why you're posting this. You're not married. I can only guess you sympathise with him as you're an Estate agent with a small dick.
