Was it likely to derail the conviction Davey ? That is the question,and I believe the answer is no,as was shown when the Judge lifted his own restrictions only a few hrs later,did that nearly derail the conviction.Ay I'm just giving the neutral viewpoint here,between two extreme views.

Nothing to do with fake video news for me. I watched the video LL put up of the journalist talking about Asian gangs grooming young girls, found it quite interesting and don’t doubt that there is a serious problem. I’ve watched some of the TR stuff he has posted and actually admire the guys passion and belief in what he speaks about, he is more eloquent than many would imagine. The problem is, he is able to influence his followers in exactly the same was as the select few Muslim Preachers that want to incite hate and his word becomes gospel. My problem is this leads to posts like #3438 where LL states around 15 “facts” about Muslims. Every one starts with “Muslims want”, “Muslims believe” etc, never once does he say “some Muslims”. There is a big difference, as I said in my original reply, I have friends of the Muslim faith with absolutely none of the characteristics that are stated as facts. Someone (DBC?) mentioned the Yorkshire Ripper earlier in this thread and it is relevant. If someone in Syria posts documentaries about him,Thompson, Venables, Bellfield, Huntley etc does it mean we are all murderers and *****philes? No, of course not. If they show news of the banking and MPs expenses scandals, does it make us all corrupt? Of course not. When a child dies as a result of violence and abuse and the professional services are accused of failings, does this reflect the majority of our societies beliefs? And so on. I know some on here post things to be deliberately outrageous as a wind up to others and see this all as a game but I think there is a line. When things are posted as facts that clearly cannot be, it borders on indoctrination and the real danger is that more, less intelligent people read, absorb and follow the hatred. I am saying this works both ways, I know that people like Abu Hamza are hate preachers but they are matched with the people that clearly hate Muslims and preach that hate. The consequences are dire both ways and the problem becomes self perpetuating. When the Manchester Arena bombing happened I was very upset and, frankly frightened for my own kids growing up, yes it is terrible. The gang rapes by a few Muslim gangs are clearly disturbing. Trouble is, I know a lovely girl who is 22 that had to take her own father to court for allowing her to be abused by the *****philic gang he is a member of for 13 years of her life. Guess what???

Mist here are in our forties or fifties and our views are fairly well set in stone. Highly unlikely and would be willing to change theirs based on what was said on a footie forum I’d imagine
