This is a pretty stupid comment, if you find it so hard to support our team go and support somebody else
Anyway, on the topic of Waghorn, I'm not impressed at all. His goalscoring record is extremely poor even for a supporting striker, and I fail to see how having him, Fryatt, Simpson, McLean and Adebola up-front is cause for optimism.
It seems to have escaped many peoples attention, but Waghorn is currently being chased by Southampton and Derby(2nd and 3rd in the league respectively) and he's just received an England U21's call up. I'm sure many on here think they know more than Pearson, Adkins, Clough and Pearce, but they don't.
Precisely why I don't think we'll get him on loan. He has a cash market value at the moment, and Leicester will cash (excuse the pun) in on him.
To be fair, Stuart Pearce is an awful manager and the only reason he doesnt get stick is because a) he's English and b) people seem to think he is passionate. So the eff what? People seem to overlook that when he was at Man City he spent his entire season's budget on Samaras and then proceeded to play him left wing, a position he had NEVER previously played. And he was turd at Forest. But off topic and Waghorn is / would be a good signing.
Out of interest Erik, what would you see as cause for optimism? Percy gets all of the attention with his strange attitude but you're getting as negative as he is these days...
David Nugent, Francis Jeffers, Seth Johnson and Michael Ricketts all played for the FULL England team. They were all ****. But that's beside the point, my point is not that Waghorn is necessarily a poor player, he's just a poor player in relation to what we need, especially considering we wasted valuable cash bringing in that oaf Dele Adebola. I'm not as negative at all! I don't want the entire squad replacing, the coaching staff released and Adam Pearson to walk out... The only point I agree with him on are that this is a season too far for Nick Barmby (which I said in pre-season I believed would be the case), Adebola was a poor signing and a waste of cash and that Waghorn is not what we need. What I would see as cause for optimism is a pacy striker who is actually capable of scoring goals. Not some 4-in-30 Leicester cast-off.
"a pacy striker who is actually capable of scoring goals" how much do they cost...around 4m at the monemt? Waghorn is pacy enough, personally he will probably prefer go to you guys as he knows Pearson, and played well under him a Leicester. But the Fryatt?Waghorn doubt will probably inspire Hull to go for a loan first - which may compromise the move, with others interested in paying cash.
Shame about Homer. I don't see him at training like the management. But the cameos we do see suggest there is a footballer in there!
I want him. Decent player, under Pearson he did well scoring 12 goals? So why can't he do it again? we are creating the chances we just need another person to help put them away. McLean works hard but can't score, Fryatt works hard and does score, but has a lot of pressure on him. He's not an England international for nothing
