Nobody is saying Man Uniteds win over Arsenal was not impressive. It was, but Arsenal tried to match Man United one on one, they neither had the strength nor the players to do so. Not every side will do that, there will be teams that will go in and bully and badger Man Uniteds central midfield. They have yet to face a team that has done so, but they will eventually. The Liverpool- Man United games are generally won in the centre of the park, and the fact is Liverpools is far stronger than Man Uniteds. The one difference is Lucas.
PS. Who is KPR, I'm not.

    This.

Despite both sides getting off to a poor start, I still expect both of them to be up there with Liverpool battling for 4th place. Both sides still need to strengthen the squad but I suspect they will and both will be up there at the end of the seaosn.

    <ok>

Last year we were where Arsenal are now it is something any club can go through even United
After January last year we started playing good and picked up the points to get as high as we could

I'm going to agree with Uir the quest Arsenal will be there or there about come May
As fot T'ham not so sure

Do you know why that is? It's because you have to win the league or the FA cup the previous season to be in it!
And more often than not, the team who won the league the previous year is there or thereabouts the next, as you should know, being a United fan.
Do you think Mancini will be sat thinking 'oh ****, we've got no chance now we haven't won the community shield!'
    No, he won't.

True but it also works like this. Chances are thesedays in the CS you will face you main rival for the title or one of them and beating them gives the whole team a major boost of confidence going into a season.

Yeah, but we've seen how easily seasons can turn on their head. Chelsea's did last year despite an impressive start.
Man United can often have a relatively bad result and then be back on it for the next game. They rarely have a bad 'spell'. But I don't think that's got much to do with the community shield. It's just the way they are.

Im not claiming its the be all and end all for a club but compared to 10 years ago its much more important. Hell even pre seasons more important now as the game has evolved.

Well, in that case, I agree with you. It's such a fine tuned sport nowadays that every little thing seems to matter more. Gone are the days where you could stub out your cigarette, lace up your boots and jog onto the pitch straight into a heavy tackle.

Why is that I have seen you posting this message to many different Liverpool fans, the common denominator in those discussions is you. Yes people will talk rubbish with you about xbox, music etc but any time we get round to actually talking about the detailed bits of football eg individual abilities or the strength in different areas of the field your lack of knowledge is clearly exposed.

When people bluntly point this out to you, you see your arse and post the " <wah> the sensible liverpool fans like me <wah>" post in order to try and stop people pointing out the stupidity in your post.

If you don't want people highlighting your idiocy, stick to the threads about other stuff and stay away from anything that requires football knowledge and you will be ok.

Funny that as it seems that while the small few are acting like tits the rest are taking part in the discussion.

Maybe this is telling us something?

No they are just too polite to point when you post stupid stuff and move on to other topics eg
Thats the whole point, the spurs team you played had about half the team from the euro games missing and bale playing nowhere near as good as he was during that spell he had last year, therefore making it totally redundant as a reference point.

The problem is because it's not talked about on SSN/talk sport you have no idea.
