Ah my favourite set of films. Just got my grandson singing to it. Should have videoed it for the next episode of carpool karaoke [emoji6]
Just finished mowing the lawn so off to the shops to watch the delicatessen operate the bacon-slicer....may go past the bus-shelter on the way.
Being a long way from modern technology here in Serbia I was shocked on my return to the UK to twice nearly being run over by silent electric cars! shouldn't they have some playing cards pegged to the wheels so you can hear them?

Sunning myself carefully in Madeira...got burnt on a cloudy first day. Sun being a bit sneaky. Went to visit one of the best views on Island....then unable to see because of low cloud. Hairy drive back down in near invisibility. On bright side no one has vomited on me yet.
He always seemed like a person with a few demons. As someone that works in restaurants, I know several people that had subsense abuse problems that finally stopped but the cravings never do. People in catering generally mix in the same bars and clubs, with the same people. For Bourdain in must have been harder as he travelled alot and was alone alot of the time. Excellent writer and presenter, Kitchen Confidential is a must read for any person wanting to get into the industry
I am really getting into The Good Fight, in the second series now. Excellent cast, well written, funny at times and with a up to date political twist
A tough piece of steak found in a kitchen may be saved for the "philistine" who wants his meat well cooked, Bourdain wrote. "People who order their meat well-done perform a valuable service for those of us in the business who are cost-conscious: they pay for the privilege of eating our garbage. In many kitchens, there's a time-honoured practice called 'save for well-done'... the philistine who orders his food well-done is not likely to notice the difference between food and flotsam."
I'm trying to calm down . Just got home and had a letter from the hospital . All my tests were 100% fine . Because of the nature of my illness however , and the fact it caused an RTA , I cannot even apply to have my licence back until 6 months after the original incident = 26th September I know they have rules , and I would not want to drive if I was a risk to anyone . I am , however , really hacked off .
Sorry to hear that Jasper, but I suppose the main thing is your tests were positive. I went through a similar thing a few years ago because of my diabetes, and missed out on my usual driving job at Glastonbury Festival because of it. Very frustrating!
Oh I know RJ . It's just that up until today everyone ( INC the DVLA & Hospital ) said the max is usually 2 months .
My older brother had a blood phobia when he was a kid. I used to be able to make him faint just by pricking my finger and letting it bleed...so I did, often, because I was a bastard. I did it at school a few times, and he ended up being tested for epilepsy among other things Upshot was that they actually made him wait until he was 18 before he got his provisional driving license. The poor sod was scared of spiders too, and used to pay me to remove spiders from his bedroom. He never sussed that I put them in his room in the first place. I have since apologised for being such a little **** but I waited till I was 50 before I did. However bad it seems now, it could be worse and at least you haven't had to go through life having me as your little brother.
