World Cup Predictions League 2018 I will be running a predictions league for the World Cup, as I did 4 years ago. The scoring system is based on actual scorelines, from start to finish and will be the following. For the group phase: 15 points for a perfect score eg. you tip Brazil v Switzerland 2-1 and it is 2-1. 4 points for the correct result eg. 2-1 against 3-0 8 points for the correct score difference eg. 1-0 against 2-1, or 0-0 against 1-1. For the first knock out phase: 25 points perfect score 6 points right result 10 points right result and score difference For the quarter finals: 40 points perfect score 10 points right result 20 points right score difference For the Semi Finals: 60 points perfect score 15 points right result 30 points right score difference For the Final: 80 points perfect score 25 points right result 40 points right score difference. For all the knock out phases, what counts here is the scoreline after normal time. What happens in extra time is irrelevant. Everything scored on England matches is doubled. Tips should be in before kick off times for the relevant matches. Updates for the league position will be given after each completed round. The fixtures for the first round of matches will appear in the next post. Because many may be on holiday I will be opening this up to visitors from other 606 forums.

Thanks for noticing that Chris. I have revised my tips now placing all fixtures in the correct groups. The main thing is that I have a tip for each fixture, so there is no need for others to edit. The set of fixtures for the second round will be here from about the 16th/17th because I think the last game of the first round finishes only about 2 hours before the second round begins - so people may want to tip game by game rather than round by round. There is no problem with this as long as I have tips for matches.
