No doubt that there have been duds but Edwards and his team are responsible for identifying the players, and I’m sure Klopp is part of that process as well. Either way, there is no Manager vs Committee debate. It’s one cohesive unit and it shows you how important it is to have everyone on the same page. Hard to think of a signing under klopp which doesn’t fit the expected player profile (Caulker and Klavan??). It also goes to show the important of CL football. I know football is all about trophies but playing in the CL year in year out is crucial for us to be able to attract and afford top quality players.
I think Alisson is the number one target so I would assume Klopp does want him to replace Karius. But if we don’t get him, then I think Klopp will persist with Karius.
