You can add Southend to the lengthening list of clubs interested in Sonny Bradley.....I don't see any future for him there.

 

Was he really that good....seemed a bit inconsistent this season?

 

Promises of things heating up within the next fortnight....Derek Adams has said that he had identified players that he was interested in before the end of last season.....and had a dossier ready and has been going through it for a couple of weeks already.
So with players returning from their holidays we should hear soon about our out of contract players accepting or not, their new contract offers....plus new players that Derek is trying to line up for next season.

 

I'm not sure what to make of those grandstand seats being sold off....I thought they would of been pleased for people just to take them away....there not very usable just nostalgia surely....checked the date it's not April fools day. Prices seem rather high for what you get....something you would just take up your man cave (shed), the little woman wouldn't allow you to have it in doors surely, expensive fire wood comes to mind.

 

I see that Moses Makasi has signed a contract for another year at West Ham......hope he doesn't return on loan.

 

How many seats have you ordered plym? how much are they going for ? so have they started ripping the place apart yet?

 

If I wanted kindling wood....I'd only pay a couple of pounds a bundle.

 

Well the rumours are that Luton are in prime position to offer Sonny Bradley a contract in the next few days....we'll have to wait and see.

 

FIRST SIGNING

Conor Grant 23 year old Everton mid-fielder....hasn't played for Everton in the league, but has played once in the Checkatrade Trophy.
Adams tried to sign him on loan in January but he had already represented two clubs that season...so the rules stopped that happening at the last moment.
Derek Adams is obviously keen on this player and went for him when his contract finished at Everton and they were willing to release him.
Contract length not mentioned.

PS.....just watched two videos of him....seems to have a good left foot.

 

DA will put him right...has had a bad back injury in past and hopefully doesn't show up again.

 

Apparently 2015....seems ok now.

 

Seems to have a left similar to Graham Carey. Hmmmmm.

 

Kyle Letheren has sign his new contract today.

 

Strong rumour that Luton will be offering Sonny Bradley a contract soon...he of course has a new contract waiting for him to sign at Argyle....will he or wont he ?

 

I would like Bradley to stay but you know what, he isn't bigger than the club so sign, don't sign but do it quick and either feck off or get on with your Argyle career. I am a bit fed up with players doing their flouncy bit.

 

INCOMING

Niall Canavan 27 year old, 6ft 3in defender....has left Rochdale...had a successful couple of years before at Scunthorpe helping them get promoted.

Not sure about this one...had an injury blighted season at Rochdale...is that why he was released ?

Left footed centre back.....this doesn't sound good news regarding Sonny Bradley staying.

 

NOT OFFICIAL, but reports that Joe Riley, just released by Shrewsbury has signed a deal with Argyle.
27 year old, 6ft, right back who has been in the wars in recent years.....Knee-op Oct 16...Hamstring Feb 17...Broken wrist Apr 17...ligament and broken Fibula at end of that same season......hmmm .

 

I can't find a bad word said about Riley on the Shrewsbury fans website....good at chivvying up tired players when subbing late on.

 

It's their careers Sensible, their lives. Provided they are open & honest with all parties, I don't see why they don't have a right to take their time and get the deal that's right for them.

We needed an extra CB as Vyner has returned to Bristol and Ryan Edwards need plenty of time to get his health and fitness back. If Bradley does leave it will be a shame but we'll then need another one. Luton is to to his home town Hull in terms of time if that's a factor but Southend still looks a bit of a slog.

If you search for Joe Riley on WikiPedia, there's no mention of PAFC but oddly the page has the PAFC club banner at the top of it. Odd that.

 

Sonny Bradley has confirmed that he is leaving Argyle....he did not confirm where he is going...but Luton seem to be the favourite destination.
