Not going to Slate Grayson for yet another tactical c**k up that cost us any chance of taking all 3 points. The actual tackle was not his fault, but the resulting decisions were (and every Leeds supporter knows he was wrong) As you all know, I think he has taken us as far as he can , to quote the old cliche. I see this feeling is spreading......... so come on.. how long do you think he has got?
Must admit im getting a little worried with some of Graysons tactical decisions. However, hes still a decent manager, hopefully learning from his mistakes and hopefully nearly finished making them.
Ok one & all, prior to the sending off we were markedly better than Ipswich. Afterwards, we struggled. What would you all have done differently after the sending off as we were 1-0 up at the time?
Left three at the back and continued as was, Ipswich were no threat, we can't defend, we look terrible when we try to we are far better attacking. I would have taken Howson off and put Nunez on and given them something else to think about. Taking our scorer McCormack off and putting on the passenger named O'Brien was ludicrous. Talk about sending out the wrong intention to sit back and defend and invite them on to us, well Grayson lost a lot of respect from me with that decision. Yes Ipswich might have still scored two goals but we could have just as easily scored another two ourselves >> Lees ---- Kissa ----- O'Dea << Pulled the two in slightly, both O'Dea and Lees have played LB and RB so they could have drifted in and out slightly Clayton dropping back when we hadn't got the ball.
Learn from his mistakes? Hasnt be been saying that about his defence for two seasons ??? I agree his is a decent Manager, really I do, but I want to get promoted sometime in the near future and 'decent' is not good enough
yes exactly, this is why i am annoyed at grayson. We cannot defend, so why sit back and allow them to attack at us.
Bates is a problem, but last time I checked he didnt pick the team, coach the players or decide the tactics. Grayson can't hide behind Bates forever...
He could have done that and we could have lost 4/5-1. Jimmy Bullard came on after the sending off, and whatever you say about him, he did find space well and help them keep possession. If we'd have been commiting more players forward, we'd have been left short at the back and been vulnerable.
Bates is the one who holds the purse strings. Grayson can only work with what he's been able to get in. Up to the sending off we were well in contention. Did Grayson make White get sent off, no, was it his fault that their winning goal took a wicked deflection, no. Bates may not pick the team, but it's his money that buys the players, so technically he does have influence on the team.
I dont disagree with anything you said although I would say why get players in and then not play them? This says something about somebodys jugement doesnt it? So lets say this situation continues, as it is likely to..... and results continue to keep us near the bottom (possible due to poor defence), Bates isn't going anywhere .... What do we do?
Interesting debate this, apparantly I have p***ed everybody off in the process, thats was never my intention, just like a good debate....
No you've not pissed me off at all. Your opinions are as valid as the next guy. If certain fans get their way and Grayson walks or gets the chop, what's the alternative? No one wants to work with Bates. The next manager in would get the same stick from supporters if the results are poor.
