One of those players who it's always easy to bash. An ungainly looking striker who tends to play further from goal than your Owen orLineker type; always an easy target.
I know it was Elland Road and I shouldn't say it but the atmosphere did sound brilliant. Great choice of venue before we go out to the World Cup.
What was the final score? If we won we're world beaters and world domination is a certainty. If we drew we're holding back for the finals.. If we lost we're **** and we'll be home on the first available flight after getting ripped a new one by Belgium...
Just got home, great evening. Bloody lovely to go to a sell out match, where everyone gets behind the team and no-one moans at a fellow fan for singing or not singing selected songs. Plenty of kids getting excited and squeaky voiced. ‘Arry played well. Crowd singing “footballs cummin’ ‘ome” in a Yorkshire accent. Rashford’s goal. Still, Elland Road eh, worra ****hole. And yet it has mirrors in the ladies bogs.
Just got back. Went with my son And 6 of his 15 year old mates who were all hoarse from 90 minutes singing. Everything football is about for me and why the Allams haven't got a clue.
That's the problem when no football people take over football clubs...Not a scubby do, about what it means to the average fan when his/her team wins, draws or loses..No concept of how much it hurts when the team goes on a bender.
Shows how far Leeds has fallen behind other cities in this country. Delapidated outdated ground and for some reason singing a Euro 96 anthem. I actually attended Spain v Bulgaria there in Euro 96, think the gate was just over 20,000. It's a rugby town.
Not a bad performance, Rashford should start at the expense of Sterling IMO, I thought Delph had a really good game, Harry, apart from getting caught out a couple of times did OK, certainly performed as good or better than Stone's, Jones had a reasonable game. Loftus Cheek looked better once Henderson went off.
