The new breed of young player does seem to be more willing to go abroad as seen with the likes of Sancho, Oxford, Akpom, Aarons, and Lookman this season. There are signs with the likes of young Sancho that the young players are ready to stick two fingers up at the PL giants and say "no I'm not going to be churned up by your system while all the time you just purchase more and more foreign superstars blocking my path". I hope Man C don't mess up with young Foden as it would be a disaster.

I'd still like a quota personally though as that is also out of control. It is a personal choice that though I think. There are too many foreign players in my opinion, and I think it is definitely preventing opportunity for younger players to play at a higher level. Same for coaches. The PL league is not really part of English football anymore. It is more like an international money league. Some of the physical challenge has endured of course, but in terms of feeling much of an affiliation with the culture here, that is limited now at the PL level. We've discussed it loads and sit at opposite ends of the scale though!

I agree with the loans. I quite like a loan system, its something we've had for a long time. Its just been corrupted by money and big teams as a way of reducing the competitiveness of others.

It’s painfully simple. No loans to top flight clubs in your country, end of, and a cap on loans overall. It’s already at 2, why not make it 0? **** big clubs and their hooovering of talent. Kenedy should be available today for £7m, but he’s played well on loan for us so they want £20m. Awful situation, we should have been able to buy on Jan or leave the player in the reserves. I know what Kenedy would prefer.

Playing abroad is happening more than it used to b
Without the loan system, we may well have been playing in the Championship next season

There is a growing crop of young English players moving abroad because of the lack of opportunity here. They are the future of our national team. These players will develop skills/ technique that the prima donnas in the PL can only dream of.

Sancho for example is going to be some player.

We've used it less than most. Plus it does seem perverse that clubs make money out of players they never actually play or intend to play - it needs regulating before half of the 92 league clubs are bust.

    For who?!

If a lesser PL team had him, he could make a healthy pot to reinvest. As it stands he’s been no risk to the parent club and literally everyone else misses out.

Its like the Wisdom of the Crowd on here. Reckon we could solve the whole system by pooling our collective wisdom. Albert can get the drinks in.
Would just add another caveat to the loan system. Any loans for players over 23 must come with an option to buy at a price to be agreed at the beginning of the loan. This would stop clubs being penalised for adding value to a player during the loan period.

I’ll throw one more idea in; burn the whole ****ing lot to the ground and build a new national sport based on Mafia games.
