I REALLY hope I am wrong but as this will now drag into Friday I feel we have zero chance of landing Hernandez and maybe a 10% chance of Bielsa. True I was not sold on Bielsa at the start but I assumed he would only join IF we could give him the backing and a budget to match his ambition and an assurance from Orta that he would work with him and listen to what was required, no more scatter gun approach. The timing of the Pearce announcement stinks, if he had genuinely signed today great but the image is clearly taken from a while back yet the club decided to withold the news from the fans. Talks on both signings have drawn to a halt, I just hope we don't get an embarrassing list of coaches turn us down like they did before Monk took charge.

Bielsa was quoted by Goal: "After four weeks working together with you, we could not sign any of the seven additions in the work program expressly approved by the President Claudio Lotito. "It was agreed as essential to the implementation of the work program that we would sign at least four footballers before July 5, with the objective that they would be able to participate in pre-season. "For my style of work we needed to have these players arrive in a timely manner to train."
