It takes some doing to be the most successful owners whilst also being the most despised.

In saying that I think that they've proved that one of the very few correct decisions they've made was to appoint Steve Bruce, without him, no matter what Bob may think, they wouldn't have enjoyed any of the successes of the last few years. So they'd just have been left with being despised.

I think what annoys me is the posters on here have never appreciated Steve Bruce and the job he did here.

I reckon until that lazy git off 6th Ave gets his finger out and does Hull City:The Steve Bruce Years most never will.

I know a few don't like him on here but surely most do appreciate job he did. It doesn't take a lot of insight to spot that he was in charge for our best ever seasons.

The Allams were the club’s owners during its most successful spell. I don’t think it follows that they are the club’s most successful owners, for obvious off-field (and increasingly on-field) reasons.

They did one amazing thing - they took the advice of an expert and appointed Steve Bruce. In typical Allam style they then jettisoned and pissed off that expert.

Steve Bruce did some amazing things at City (in many respects the play off campaign against Wednesday might be the greatest achievement, given the ****e he had to deal with from the boardroom). He also did some bang average things at City. To be either 100% in support of Bruce, or 100% against Bruce, during his tenure are two equally ludicrous positions.

But on balance, he was clearly our best ever manager (who ****ed up our European campaign).

How can Bruce be our most successful manager but the Allams can’t be our most successful owners?

    That makes no sense.

I love Steve Bruce for his contribution to Hull City, but he's managing another club now so he's back to being a pumpkin-headed fat ****.

A manager is judged purely on their success on the pitch, an owner is judged on their success on and off the pitch.

Far East company bids £25m for Blackpool FC

A Singapore company is believed to have tabled a £25m bid for Blackpool FC.

The Gazette has learned that vSport is looking to strike a deal to take complete control of the football club and Bloomfield Road stadium. Such a deal would mean the Oyston family ceasing to have any involvement in the club.

It is believed talks between club owner Owen Oyston and vSport founder Qiang Bai have been ongoing since April, with significant progress made this week resulting in the formal bid.

Im in this camp. He was brilliant for what he achieved with us but the football he played was painful to watch and by the end I couldn't take much more of it, plus he ruined Europe for us which we'll probably not see again. Still grateful for the good times though and was a thoroughly honest and likeable bloke.

I believe everyone's favourite ****wit Alexander Jarvis is going to take the credit for this one. Has previously talked of his work with vSport and Qiang Bai.

Was the football painful to watch in every single match??
When we beat Liverpool, painful that was. Totally destroying wensdee at wembley in one of the most one sided play finals ever. Too many other great games to namebut yeti was awful to watch 100% of the time.
    Well rid

I think the only 'painful' experience I had with Bruce was limping out of Europe in the way that we did.

Other than that, we went to grounds where we hadn't won for years. And won.

For me, it felt good to be a City fan during Bruce's time. I actually went to games expecting to win ... both Sheffield Wembley games, even the arsenal game.

But people still harp on about the money, his son and Proschwitz. FFS.
