Wasn't Benson linked with Bradford before?

It would be a strange move, especially after what happened to the Notts deal.

RE: Reid, fair enough. I was surprised he hadn't been picked up by now.

Best of luck to both of them... we're onto bigger and better things now.

FFS Houndal, just drop it. You're wrong, and you'll always be wrong. What better could any guy do with a squad in terminal decline and no money? I know you want people to rise to the bait, and I have, so apologies to the rest of the forum, but Parky was a decent bloke who did a damn good job, but was stuck with a bunch of mediocre players and lost the crowd so he had to go. The last couple of performances under him were appalling, but he'll stand head and shoulders ahead of Dowie, Pardew and Reed. I wish him all the best, I'm glad we've now got Powell and a solid club structure, but to blame him for our decline is incredibly naive.

Leaving aside the stuff about the last manager, I think H is being a bit harsh on Kyel Reid. He's a step up from where Bradford finished last season, which was 18th in League 2.

Reid will create chance after chance for Bradford's strikers in Div2. Want both him and Parkinson to do well. Shame the not606 Bradford board has Acworth spouting his usual drivel. Hope they don't judge us all by his comments.

Reid is a good Winger when he's playing with confidence - which his quote suggests is something Parky gives him - I am surprised that Reid wasn't snapped up before now you'd think he could do a job at a higher level than Bradford

Good luck to them, can honestly say i don't harbour any bad feelings toward parkinson, there all directed at pardew! Parkinson was in charge through a rough period which is now (hopefully) well and truly in the past <ok>

Parky was useless, but we'll save that for another day.

Reid's a top signing for them, felt he wasn't realy given an extended run in the team whilst at us which is what he needed.

If Reid can keep himself motivated he will wreak havoc among Div 2 defences. I can see Benson joining Parky because he knows he will have a manager who really rates him and he won't get dropped if he fails to score for a couple of matches. Again he could score loads with the right service at that level.

Parky was othe worse manager/assistant manager cafc ever had. I can't think of anyone else that dropped 2 divisions with this club and kept his job. Anyone that thinks he was even a respectable manager is deluded or has the surname Parker.

I really like Reidy. He was someone who could actually get the fans off their seats at The Valley with his lightening pace. I'm surprised we let him go as he would certainly offer something different on the left if we need to stretch the play and use two out and wingers. Good luck to him, I say.

As for Parky. He didn't have much to work with, granted. But so many of our performances with a half decent side were abject and humiliating. The football was dross on the main, and I had certainly lost all patience with him. The money wasted on the debacles at Northwich, Shrewsbury, Hereford, etc etc was just too much to stomach in the end.

He may do quite well at Bradford and I just pray that he takes Benson there before Wednesday.

Have Bradford got some money now then? Benson £150,000 (£2,000pw), Francis £50,000 (£2,000pw), Doc £3,000pw

So that's £365,000 in wages plus £200,000 in transfer fees?

    Salary figures are my estimates
