I know they're a few of us on here. So post anything...Youtube vids, gear, songs etc I start about 5 and half years ago. Very rarely miss a day picking it up. I've set myself a challenge. If I practice every day for 3 months I'll buy myself a Fender American Professional Strat.
First song I ever learned properly... Been playing for about 7 or 8 years now, as a lefty it was a bit annoying trying to find the correct stuff to play, as I just could not force myself to do it right handed. Did try to do a Hendrix and play a right-hander upside down, but that didn't last long as I'm not bloody Jimi Hendrix. Since I got my left handed Fender Jaguar, I've been on it most nights since. Although recently, I've been messing about with synthesisers and keyboards a lot more, need to get back onto my Jag.
Haven't touched my guitars for years. Only just got my amp back, I leant it to a mate to do a gig with and he just sort of gigged around with it. I've got a full studio somewhere in a box in the loft as well which hasn't been used for years either as I lost my cubase key My time is spent on more profitable pursuits nowadays.
I have an acoustic guitar - gave up trying to play it years ago. I have taken up the triangle instead. I'm pleased to report I'm a master at that instrument.
Who told you that? It's true. Maybe I'll stop with the guitars and collect... Oh I don't know, trainers?
Something I always would have liked to have done, but never got round to it, think I am a bit passed it now to start.
I have a 12 string Yamaha that I can't master. I have a semi accoustic Takamine that I can't put down. I also have a semi accoustic ukelele thats been out of it's case once. Magnificent peice of craftsmanship but I haven't got a clue what to do with it.
I have an Epiphone 6 string electric, a 12 string acoustic and a 6 string acoustic, I also have a very old Hofner in the Hank Williams style. I still play them all (badly) except the Hofner that needs some restoration, and whilst my fingers are still able too. I sometimes even write my own stuff, for personal consumption of course but I have a programme on my computer that allows me to add my own backing tracks. Just wished that I had learned the piano as well.
How many sides are you up to Filey? I'm still a relative beginner on one side, but hoping to progress to two in the near future.
Twelve strings have a bit of a reputation for going out of tune rather easily, I have an electronic gadget that makes tuning my guitars a breeze.
For anyone wishing to learn Guitar, this guy knows his onions... https://uk.search.yahoo.com/search?fr=mcafee&type=D211GB714G0&p=Justin Sandercoe
I have a 6 string acoustic, 12 string acoustic, 2 out of rhythm hands & 10 out of sync digits. They’re now collecting dust in the loft. @Quill - I’m sure the 12 string is a left handed one. If it’s any use to you I’ll dig it out & get it to you.
