im bemused, and yet slightly intrigued by the shaqiri rumours. On one hand, hes had his attitude problems and obviously think a bit to much of himself.

On the other hand, id quite like to have a nutcase available, we do seem to have an awfully nice team at the moment, i think a bit of bite an niggle wouldn't go amiss. Also he may have grown up a bit, and hes obviously got talent, for 12 mil hes a steal.

Not about him being a nutcase. I just don't want him in the dressing room etc, just a bad egg

    tbh.

    1. firmino.. cheeky as ****.

    2. fekir. i take it with a pinch of salt that he is "like van dijk" and will only join us... if so sit down and get done... risk is i suppose he goes deep.onto world.cup even as sub so injury is always possible. who knows.

    3. shaqiri. yes you could buy him for 12 now and flip him for 25 without a bother but for me its not about that and my issue is I don't really see the role for him... he would compete with salah. why not try wilson there and then if that isnt right ox will be back in november anyway.

I don't like Shaqiri all that much, and would certainly be strongly against buying him to replace one of the current front 3. However, there's no getting away from the fact that they need cover.

Is Shaqiri capable of stepping in and doing a job when needed? His annoying inconsistancy at stoke raises some doubt, but he would be a cheap and talented option.

I'm not sure he is suited to bench time tbh.

I'd rather try wilson at least in preseason

Clubs are scared to sell to us knowing that player's value will quadruple under Klopp and they will end up looking like mugs for letting them go so cheap

You’d not get a bag of Haribo and a packet of Monster Munch for Karius <laugh>

We only bought him for a Haribo pick n mix so that monster munch will go down well with the owners.

I dont think for one second that he would be brought in as a replacement, that way madness lies.

At the moment i dont think we could bring in anyone who could replace 1 of our front 3, its not just how good they are individually but more how good they are together. But at some point its nice to be able to give them a rest or in a bullish game have someone expendable to throw on, who will give as good as he gets.

For the first time in many years, I have some faith in our transfer policy.
If Klopp wants him then it's ok by me. Not everyone will work out, but as long as the success rate so far is maintained I'm happy.

    Personally......

    Don't shot me....

I really don't think they are ALL so good nobody can replace them.

Now salah....he is just like Suarez in his running in behind and making teams panic. Imo he has made a difference.

Firmino does his work and that and that's important but without salah he hasn't the pace. He does his thing and it works but without players going beyond him he will not be as effective chasing about everywhere will he.

Mane for me does more than given credit for but he isnt a thinker. He is an instinct player.

I refuse to believe that when we coped without coutinho we wouldn't find a way to replace others. Our issue in the end as predicted was we didn't replace coutinho with anyone so we simply ran out of steam in the end.

What we need is someone who wont just sit on a bench it has to be someone who will push those players for thier place.

Equally, Salah isn't the same player when Bobby isn't in the side

Given firmino was bulletproof all season I can't quite think of when salah actually player without firmino in a proper first 11

Don't need too see it, just look at the areas that Salah runs into. Usually, it's space that Bobby had created.

Bobby also states the majority of presses and he nicks the ball in dangerous areas more than Most too to start attacks

Meh... that's then unprovable that salah wouldn't be just as effective with someone else doing a similar job.

Salah mostly runs a lcb/lb channel so.....

I agree, if you look at them individually they can all be replaced, I think most players could. It's more the effect and the way they play with each other that is special.

It makes it very difficult to buy soneone who can challenge for a front three spot as not only do they need to have individual ability, but also need to have the chemistry with who ever they are playing with
