My thoughts on Fulham game

  1. Fair result really. We both played well, but they had the better chances. Steve Harper could only save us so many times. The irony is, Enrique had a great game, but one mistake can cost you a goal. Ranger, Lovenkrands and Best, all looked threatening a few times during the game, but were pretty much passengers throughout.

    My ratings -

Harper - 9 - My man of the match. Made some excellent saves, but got beaten eventually.

Enrique - 7 - Would have given 8 or perhaps 9, but made the mistake that cost us a game. VERY unlike Jose.

    Coloccini - 8 - Good game

Wiliamson - 6 - Did ok, but looked quite shakey at times.

Simpson - 7.5 - Tracked back well, showed good composure going forward.

Barton - 7 - Not one of his better games, but did well, made some good passes.

    Nolan - 6 - Average performance.

Guthrie - 7 - Some good deliveries. Gave Best a good chance.

Gutierrez - 8 - Actually had a great game, shame he had no one that could finish the chances he made. Well done Jonas mate, keep it going. Made some good deliveries, looked threatening.

Ameobi - N/A - This is the worst thing that could happen, happened. :emoticon-0106-cryin

Ranger - 6 - Could have scored, forced a good save. Some threatening runs. Shows potential, but has quite a bit to go. Needs more time to get up to the pace of the premier league, and needs to win more in the air. Decent performance.

    Lovenkrands - 4 - Passenger

    Best - 6 - Decent performance.

MOM - Harper and the fans that again outsung the home crowd. :emoticon-0111-blush

What makes me sick is that we really could have used the 4 points we lost in the last 4 minutes of the previous two games. Will it cost us?

Harper - 7 Best player on pitch for us.

Enrique - 5 one of his worst games in a toon shirt

Coloccini - 6 ok, some poor passing

Wiliamson - 5 woeful - two good blocks though brought his score up.

    Simpson - 6 - ok

Barton - 6- not his day, some terrible passes and unusually quite a few hit and hope balls to knowhere.

    Nolan - 3 - total passanger again.

Guthrie - 6 - ok, still never a prem player though. but he is all we hav at the min.

Gutierrez - 4 - blunt and unambitious again. pasing terrible.

Ameobi - disaster for us that he is injured!!!

Ranger - 6.5 - awkward to deal with, decent in air, but has no regard for what goes on around him, needs to play with his head up.

Lovenkrands - 5 - just himself really, no good!!

Best -5 poor (that hat trick was the worst thing to happen to this club in the course of our season.

Kevin Nolan looked like he couldnt give a toss
as captain of your team surely that then has a knockdown affect on the rest of the team

****ing spot on with these. I'd maybe say you're a bit generous for Enrique. Worst i've seen him play.

All in all i think that is easily our worst performance of the season (excluding Stevenage), Ranger, Best and Guthrie had a bit of running in them, but really everyone else just looked lacklustre, uninterested and it cost us. Lets hope it was the pitch condition (as they didnt play brilliantly either), the weather, i dunno the hotel was ****e.
Bring on Saturday, lets get the Barton, Enrique, Colo and TIOTE back we all know and love!!:emoticon-0115-inlov HWTL!!!

It's no excuse but the pitch did look crap and the pathetic plastic tunnel that hides the players coming on from what looks to be a staff car park is laughable, Craven Cottage looks a dump and is in need of modernising.

    Here's the article i put on 606!

Well a wasted trip last night to West London to see a shambles of a performance, first of all well done Fulham they deservedly won the game and never looked like conceding, they play a tight game and everybody seems to know what to do.

But we must look at our own shortcomings and assess what needs doing.
The last two games we have played very well, the Mackems and Spuds both came away with undeserved draws due to late goals (a flukey one too for the dark side!), which puts last nights game into the very disappointing section.

As a team we were very flat, Haangeland and Hughes won't get many easier games as they had time and looked in total control of everything they did, without doubt the best Premier partnership outside the top four.
Our back line were pretty good most of the night, Enrique and Colo especially, Johnson kept them busy though and always looked dangerous, Harper was very good and kept the score down, the goal itself was just an upfield punt that wasn't dealt with yet again!

The Midfield was very very poor, Jonas ran into every blind alley he could find, Nolan worked hard and Barton was unusally poor, but the biggest let down ONCE AGAIN was Danny Guthrie, he was way out of his depth and offered nothing going forward, couldn't pass and certainly cannot tackle, i'll be surprised if he is still an NUFC player come next season. Get back Tiotte soon!!!!

Ranger worked hard to little avail whereas Best reverted to what we saw of him last season, he became the invisible man once more.

The squad looks wafer thin, why was Routledge allowed to go out on loan? when Raylor is still out injured, why was Xisco released when Carroll was sold?
where is Gosling (fit by Xmas you're having a laugh),
where was Ireland (have we bought another crock),
When will Ben Arfa, Raylor, and Saylor be fit?
    How bad is Sol Campbell?

Last nights subs bench said it all, how many of us here honestly know who Richardson and Shane are?

Things need sorting luckily there are 5 or 6 Teams below us who are worse at present but Pardew needs to show some mettle now before we get drawn in.

    Rant over.

Barton your ratings are way over the top Harper 7, 6's for Ranger, Enrique and Colo, 5's to the rest and Guthrie gets a lucky 4!
