If he had just joined us as manager, I'd be worried already. No management or coaching experience. Derby is a big club, and a big job to start off at. They demand promotion, despite their ever reducing budget. To say that, when he has only been their manager for a few days. If he said that as manager of my club, it would get my back up. Maybe take the first few days to focus on the club you have joined.
Just WOW - Sky Sports News understands Villa have been threatened with a winding up order by HMRC after failing to pay an overdue tax bill. Villa are in discussions with the tax authorities to try to reach a solution, whereby the outstanding amount is re-paid in stages. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11677/11395822/aston-villa-suspend. They REALLY are deep in the doo doo!!
BBC have a different take Villa have suspended their CEO for missing a tax payment and it will be paid within 48 hours.
Really Surprised by this! I know this link has been around for a few windows, but thought it would be over after promotion. He is a really class player, really like him. Hoped he was going to stay with Fulham. Maybe Ryan leaving isn't off the table despite promotion.... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44376841
I wouldn't be worried if our manager said that, just hopefully mean we had a determined person wanting to do well. But I don't think we will ever agree on this.
@Forgot_My_Lines ...and does anyone know the context the quote was taken from? Could well have been a club interview for derby's youtube channel with the interviewer asking him about his ambitions in management.
Haha. Didn't think it would spark up so much debate. I just found it funny. He's not even taken his first ever training session, and managing England has been mentioned. Just made me chuckle.
I really can't believe you are still going on about this. To be considered for the England job he first has to succeed at club level. I bet Derby fans and players are delighted at his positive ambition.
Like Mr Southgate, about 3 seasons with Middlesborough, one including relegation before being fired the following season (Whilst admittedly from the outside doing OK) ? Bah!
That's essentially what a forum is I just disagreed with you saying it was wrong, but not having a go at you for your opinion. But anyway, not long for the World Cup now, will be like watching Norwich again.
Because I am replying to people who have quoted me to respond to it. I just posted it as a comment that made me laugh. It's not me keep banging on about it Dave, I'm only responding to responses, including yours. You've dragged this out for another couple of posts now. Cant believe you are still going on about it.
I just said it's a silly thing to say at the totally wrong/inappropriate time. Didn't say it was positive or negative.
Awful England line up. Last game before the World Cup, I thought he'd go stronger than that to try and gel the team. Some of these players haven't even played much for their club. Must be massively worried about picking up injuries to the players who will actually play at the world cup.
Wonderful by Rashford. I really like the idea of him coming off the bench with his pace and power. Do not expect him to score a goal like that though! That was from nothing, and was fantastic.
