So a player who doesn't get picked as often as he's like accuses the coach of treating him unfairly? Nothing to see here, move along please.
I'm sure there's plenty of people who can vouch for Pep. It's plain to see the guy can be a patronising **** but he's probably not racist, his man management skills seem to be unparalleled.
... and my point was that both Toure and Eto'o were reduced to bit part players under Pep because he felt he had better options ... both have big egos ... particularly Toure .... so my suspicion is that their complaints have less to do with 'Africans' than damaged ego ... but It's just a gut feel ...
i can't believe you are even giving this any time of day. Pep is only racist to black africans, rather than blacks themselves. First time i've ever heard of a racist like that. The only missing from this is that Pep is racist to white scandinavians. It's the only explanation for why he didn't like Zlatan
I'm not really, started cause Fosse didn't seem to understand what Toure is alleging. Until I see evidence to the contrary I would give Pep the benefit of any doubt though (as I've said several time now )
Really? I'd go as far as to say it has been widespread - often within the West Indian community. Possibly not prevalent now, but commonplace in the 70s and 80s.
I got was Toure was alleging ... I just didn't give it any credence ... you got the wrong end of the stick ... and here we are
The players that have a problem with him seem to be the ones that think they are Demi God' s. They can' t handle a tough manager that refuses to constantly massage their ego!!
I lived in Spain for almost 15 years, racism is endemic there, especially across the southern coast and Cataluna. I'm not saying Pep is a racist, but it wouldn't be much of a surprise if he was. They have a big week long fiesta there which culminates in a re-enactment of the Spanish kicking the Africans out in the 15th century.
Yeah, and we have a big celebration every November which culminates in a Catholic being burned on a bonfire, but that doesn't mean religious intolerance is endemic in the UK.
His agent has offered his services to any other top six side in England for £1 a week plus bonuses. I wonder how many racist managers there will be at those five clubs?
He seemed happy signing a 1 year extension last year with Pep as the manager; “I’m delighted. I told myself the journey at City is not done and when I received a call from Txiki and talked to the manager I was very delighted," Toure said. If he thought all this about Pep, then why re-sign... couldn't be about money. could it?
I've lived there mate, for 15 years, I would compare it to 1970's London tolerance wise, and I'd say England is a lot less religious tolerant that you think it is. But w/e, it's a cultural thing rather than an indictment of his character. Intolrance isn't a learned behaviour, tolerance is.
Kids gang up on what is different, until they learn otherwise, it's a genetic inbuilt trait of life, "it's different, KILL IT!!!"
one is a physical and obvious difference, so yes, racism would fit in there, religious intolerance would be tribal, which is a looser fit hbut still part of the 'core coding'
Sorry but bollocks. Kids might remark on a physical difference or unusual clothing to what they’re used to. However, that’s not intolerance nor racism. Racism is the belief that you are somehow superior to another person due solely to their ethnic background. That’s learned behaviour. Intolerance and racism is socially ingrained by the people and media that they’ve come into contact with and are therefore influenced by, usually primarily family.
