Turk Watch Because it's been three whole weeks, the Turkish press are linking us with 18-year old Trabzonspor winger (Ctrl +C) Abdulkadir Omur...actually, if I'm going for the full copy/paste job, Abdülkadir Ömür. You get the feeling that I don't believe a word of it, don't you? Winger Watch In other winger news, we're one of the clubs being linked with PSV's 20-year old left winger Steven Bergwijn, who on the one hand is better from a statistical standpoint than Omur (8 goals and 11 assists against 3 goals and 6 assists), but it has to be said Bergwijn sounds a lot like a hybrid of Chadli and Townsend: great getting forward, and always cutting in from the flank to get into dangerous areas, but wouldn't know what tracking back was if Raheem Sterling had it tattooed to his other leg.

Good news The Standard's reporting that Reo Griffiths is set to stay Bad news The same report suggests Marcus Edwards isn't
If we do sell Edwards, the following will happen * Harry Hotspur will post three blogs on the subject in the space of a week * HITC and Vital Football will be scouring Twitter to find relevant tweets to try and say all Spurs fans are up in arms at his sale * talkBALLS will have a field day * People will forget who John Bostock is
They have deceived you : https://www.express.co.uk/sport/foo...Tottenham-Christian-Eriksen-force-move-gossip 1. At least the hacks have labelled it as gossip 2. Subject (of course) to Levy letting Collymore take his 150m quid back off the table.
Anything attributed to The Star or The Express is incapable of being correct and the exact opposite is much, much likelier to be true.
Let's deconstruct this article one paragraph at a time Barcelona have been linked with Tottenham star Eriksen in the wake of Andres Iniesta’s departure. ...the player they signed Philippe Coutinho to replace The Spain international has called time on his Nou Camp career, joining Japanese side Vissel Kobe. ...hence they signed Coutinho in January, having previously attempted to sign him last summer, knowing that Iniesta would be leaving at the end of the season as far back as last summer Barcelona could move for Eriksen, despite the Tottenham star often operating in a more advanced role. ...they could also move for every single footballer on earth, because as the Oxford dictionary states "could" is used to used to indicate possibility - while the HBIC dictionary defines the word "could" as a hack pulling a transfer rumour out of a place they really shouldn't be storing transfer rumours (or anything else for that matter, barring any food they ate the previous day) And Spanish outlet Don Balon say the former Ajax star is willing to force a move this summer. ...is it worth mentioning that Don Balon are categorised as a Tier 5 source, which classifies them as "Absolute dickheads. Why are you even reading them for ****'s sake?" - a sentiment which nobody has ever expressed for the Daily Express, of course It is claimed the news has filtered through to Barcelona’s Gerard Pique. ...so either Gerard Pique is Barca's manager, which a rudimentary Google search says is not the case, or this rumour Don Balon made up has filtered through to somebody who doesn't have a say in Barca's coaching or transfer policy so this little nugget of information means absolutely nothing Eriksen is supposedly eager to quit Tottenham to follow in the footsteps of Michael Laudrup. ...although I doubt Vissel Kobe will be able to meet his wage demands, especially with Andres Iniesta deciding to follow in Laudrup's footsteps this summer The former Swansea boss spent five years in Catalonia before controversially joining Real Madrid in 1994. ...you heard it here first: Christian Eriksen wants to follow in Laudrup's footsteps and take the vacant managerial position at Swansea Don Balon say that, so eager is Eriksen to join Barcelona, he is willing to force Tottenham into letting him go. ...sort of like how Ander Herrera was so desperate to play for Pep £uardiola that he forced a move to the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed bin Sultan bin Zayed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan Team a couple of years ago, which Don Balon boldly predicted would happen He supposedly views the chance to move to Ernesto Valverde’s side as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. ...I thought you said Gerard Pique was Barca's manager? Who's this Valverde bloke? Besides, as we all know, if a club doesn't sign a player during that transfer window they solemnly vow to never, ever attempt to sign them ever again - which is why Philippe Coutinho played for Saltypool in the Champions League final while Virgil van Dijk was the defensive lynchpin who led Southampton out of the relegation zone. Oh wait, we're back into "could" territory again, aren't we? Barcelona are currently prioritising a deal for Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann. ...making it a "once in a lifetime move" as long as somebody else doesn't get their "once in a lifetime move" instead The France international has been linked to the club all season long. ...Eriksen plays for Denmark. Please try to stay on topic, it's not that difficult as long as you have anything other than a headline and a word count to base your article on. Oh, right... But, should he choose to stay at Atletico, then Barcelona are ready to pursue Eriksen instead. ...which ignores the obvious fact that Griezmann played as a centre forward for Atletico last season, and Eriksen obviously isn't a centre forward. Here's a thought: if Barca fail to sign a centre forward, wouldn't their backup plan be to identify a different centre forward who would fit into their system? If so, there's this bloke at Man City by the name of Aguero who would be a pretty good fit Meanwhile, speaking in 2016, Laudrup’s brother, Brian, tipped Eriksen to one day move. ...because we think Brian Laudrup is Eriksen's agent, rather than a pundit on Danish TV, meaning his opinion is as relevant as Stan Bollomore's assertion that £150m would be enough to sign Kane, Eriksen and Alderweireld - but we'll pad out the rest of the word count with his quotes even though he has about as much authority on the subject as a postman from Jutland taking a trip to Copenhagen so he can go on the Tuborg brewery tour
Whenever Don Balon is credited as the source, you're basically just better off listening to me telling you that we're still gonna sign Isco...
One of Ligue 1’s best CMs. Not as skilful as Dembele but more direct in terms of looking for goals. He’s only 23 but has picked up loads of game time already. If we’re going to Ligue 1 for a CM I’d rather it be Seri BUT Sanson is a very decent player. He’d certainly bring quality to our CM and based on the form (and fitness) of Dembele, Sanson would be an upgrade.
