Hi guys. Following the debacle involving one of our (QPR) members posting a wum cross thread involving the QPR and Norwich City boards a week or so ago, and (when we as moderators appeared to do nothing to stop it) Norwich fans responded by doing the same to us. All looked like kids' stuff really BUT in fact the incident simply highlighted the need for both boards to come up with some clear lines both within and between moderators of different boards. Have to hand it to the Norwich mods, canary-dave and ThaiCanary, they both saw the problem and responded immediately by producing their own set of written rules / guidelines - and, to their credit, have willingly accepted my request to allow us to use these to inform a set for the purposes of the QPR board. This doesn't mean that wum attempts from QPR members won't happen... we can't prevent threads going out BUT what we can do is either close or delete those started on our side as soon as our moderators become aware of their existence. From these house rules, it's quite clear that the mods on both sides will in future allow respectful banter or teasing between the two camps but will take action to stop threads or delete offensive and/or provocative posts. This said, members of the Norwich board have our sincere apologies as QPR mods for causing last week's upset between us. All the best to both clubs for the future. BrixtonR and Northolt-QPR
Does your moderator still have that fetching picture of someone giving the bird?... I think the Met police should use his unique branding style on the side of their meatwagons..
Banter is banter, if you get irritated on here by particular posters<PRESS THE IGNORE BUTTON>....... I have one of those for my wife, its called Scotch....Boom boom
It should be common sense, you can say certain things to people you know well and its OK. Being a transexual muslim fundamentalist from Somalia, i would be offended if you rib me on my lifestyle choice. However, had i not given you this information i could carry on with my alter ego, fat 35 year old Londoner from Norwich and would not attract any unwanted abuse.... You have the ignore button, msg house mods or turn your computer off and start taking life less seriously....I M O
Oh please try and lighten up, sn23. I didn't participate in the offending thread mentioned - I rarely do, I'm angelic, but the fact that a QPR mod/senior member feels inclined to come to our forum and apologise or comment tells me all I need to know. Thanks BrixtonR for setting the record straight
Well done Brixton, i m sure the canary posters that were offended will be able to move on now after the trauma of being teased on a footy forum. We have no beef with QPR
