look at utds cup runs last year and this.

the only decent side they met was man city in league cup. the rest tbh anyone in the top half would have beaten.

a run in the cup just needs a slice of luck and a decent draw or two to get going, if anything has disappointed me it's klopps attitude to the fa cup. however I know the real judgement of a team is the league

lfc have been 4th twice now under klopp. beating Utd and arsenal last year and Chelsea and arsenal this year


spurs are clearly better than us and city have set a huge standard this year

city can always throw an accusation that we got lucky against them in the cl and they proved they are best in England over the seasons course.

City could claim we are their kryptonite but we knew how to play them this season. We just didnt have the depth in squad to compete for the league

 

Disagree Jimmy. What makes the Prem great is the fact that although the table is often predictable, the games during the season spring up plenty of surprises and that's helped by the fact that teams at the bottom get good money to help compete. I don't agree with parachute payments, that just punishes other teams in the Champ who haven't been in Prem, but if we only split the money across the top clubs then you just make the gap even bigger in the league.

In short term, may help them in Europe, but at what cost in the future?
