Right I am not here to say this will be the score or any rubbish like that but wondered how you would feel as fans of Liverpool if they were on the end of a hiding like the one dished out to Arsenal yesterday?
It's as likely to be 8-2 to us Suarez has already ripped you apart once and I doubt you'll stop him next time either How would you feel about that?
Fuming, when you get beat that bad, at that level, it is a matter of will and not wanting to play. The Arsenal players really let the fans, Arsene, everyone involved down. I am amazed I have not heard a story yet on Arsenal refunding the fans who still stuck around to the very end to watch that.
This. Not necessarily because we're better than Arsenal, but we value these games too much to let it happen. Liverpool-Man U games are huge, and so the players are playing for more than just the 3 points. They wouldn't let it happen...
Embarrassing... However the thought of calling for the managers head so early into the season and not being backed by the board...is more disgraceful. Wasnt the game at Old Trafford...? Just the way Liverpool 2-8 Man Utd has been written would make me think otherwise?
I wouldn't worry about it. Its unlikely to happen. What is more likely to happen is this on October 15th, Liverpool 3 Manchester United 1. There is one simple reason for it, and its not exactly obvious to the naked eye, but the reason is Lucas. Lucas is the key to Liverpool giving Man United a bit of a stuffing at Anfield on October 15th. Lucas will do to Man United what no player has done so far this season. He will bully, he will badger and he will annoy, wingers and strikers are ineffective when you have a player like this, it lets livewires do their thing. I believe Kenny will go with a central midfield trio of Gerrard, Lucas and Adam in that game, Gerrard for his drive, Adam for his passing accuracy and Lucas for his beligerance. The formation in my opinion will be something like this. Suarez. Kuyt Gerrard Downing Adam Lucas
Lucas, nearly always plays the United game, even in the Masch/Xabi days And has bullied Paul Scholes so many times its untrue
Not only Scholes. He's been picking on Carrick and Anderson for the last couple of years. Both hate the sight of him. He's made Carrick cry on more than one occasion.
Well i wouldn't be looking for excuses that's for sure. It wouldn't happen, but if it did then heads would roll for sure. It would be unacceptable, and if i'm honest i'm shocked they have kept Wenger.
Just to inform you Arsenal said they would never get beat like that before yesterday many times.... Just saying. And Lucas scares United players LMAO. Hes good but hes equal to what we have and well, no body rates our midfield ( its probably better that most in the PL ). Theres more chance of us thrashing you than you thrashing us this season though I expect 2 2-1 wins for United in the league this time.
You're looking the better side, but I cannot see thrashings either way. The will be tight, maybe a couple of goals between them.
The only way United will escape a double thumping this season is if they send Gary Neville in to nibble Suarez' legs off.
There usually are a number of goals in our encounters lately... usually for us! I don't foresee a 6 goal lead to either team as a likely event. That said- I wouldn't have for Arsenal game either... and I still think if you replayed that game 100 times- sure you would win more oft than they - but you probably wouldn't win by 6 goals again. 10 goals in a game is a very unusual event. It is unlikely to happen again with anyone this season- especially not against a pumped up enthusiastic Liverpool side who will be giving their all against you.
I reckon on October 15th we'll have the upper hand, with Lucas, Adam and Gerrard over Anderson and Cleverly. The key being Lucas.
Man Uniteds central midfield is good, when its not challenged, ie not pressed. When its pressed it folds like a bad poker player. Pressing is what Lucas does well and combine this with Suarez snapping at heels and motoring all over the place at 120 miles an hour, it doesn't give the opposition much hope.
