6.6 million is great business. We could do our full budget on that with money to spare, probably. What we don't know is how much of that we owe to Lorient.
This is one player that caught my eye last season when watching the highlights. I'd like to think we know about his quality as he's leaving on a free. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44083453 Walsall midfielder Erhun Oztumer wants to leave the League One club when his contract ends in June. Oztumer, 26, joined from Peterborough United in June 2016 and has made 95 appearances for the Saddlers. "The club have made numerous attempts to extend Erhun Oztumer's contract over the last 12 months," a statement said. "His representatives have expressed a desire to explore alternative options and, while the club remain open to negotiation, we respect that position." Meanwhile, Flo Cuvelier, Simeon Jackson, Reece Flanagan, Will Shorrock and Milan Butterfield have all been released. Dean Keates' side have also taken up the option to extend forward Amadou Bakayoko's contract for a year and midfielder Joe Edwards has been offered a new contract.
Stewie Donald has already said that he'll be funding this window, but that money will help to cover future payments that we still owe to other clubs, so it's a massive bonus that we're managing to shift him. He was contracted until 2021 ya nar, fella. What a massive burden he could have been.
Wnger Ramadan Sobhi, 21, could also be nearing the Stoke exit after being granted permission by the Egyptian FA to have a medical at Sunderland before the World Cup. Never heard of this guy, but attracting an international player is good news.
I like what I've read about Marcus Maddison. He might be just what we need, goal's from the midfield and a good work rate who knows and has succeeded at this level. Since it looks like we will get money for N'Dong and probably have to let McNair go, not to mention the loan player about to be sold, he could form part of our Summer Transfer's.
TRANSFER UPDATE: Sunderland standing firm on valuations as Khazri’s agent makes odd suggestion Roker Report have learned some new details regarding the situations of want-away pair Wahbi Khazri and Lamine Kone. https://rokerreport.sbnation.com/20...uations-as-khazris-agent-makes-odd-suggestion
Ha. Good luck with that you cheeky sods. I'd actually forgotten about Kone's existence I wonder how much we could get for him?
Do hope that report is true. Perhaps we could aspire to get the same sort of reputation that Daniel Levy has built for himself at Spurs! This would be instead of the pushover mugs one that we currently 'enjoy'.
This appears to be the BBC getting their wires crossed again, he's actually been given permission to have a medical with HUDDERSFIELD TOWN so that he can stay in the premier league
Pretty clear a lot of bad attitude in the game is a direct result Agent guidance, take this, a couple of ****ers represented by ****ers. All 4 can **** off when we've got our money, great stance from the club. This is a club we can be proud of.
Err, I didn't start that thread to discuss transfers, I started it to talk about agents giving their clients the wrong attitude. Put it back please.
This is what I want to hear from SAFC and our supporters, the idea that we should let our best players walk away when they feel like it or that we should accept peanuts like 4-6 m for McNair (and Ndong, who I rate), only encourages these rogue agents who represent these shameless mercenaries.
You are right of course, but you can not uninvent (is there such a word Gordon), the wheel. Go back to Shack's book, Clown Price of Soccer. Read up on George Eastham's case and Jimmy Hill's campaign to get a fair deal for Players. The Clubs exploited the players at every step and oppose any hint of progress or fair play for them. They lost that battle though, in the end. Now the football boot is on the other foot. IF, and it's a big IF, every Club at Every level was prepared to co-operate, they could still curtail the Agents. Refuse to deal with them. Refuse to pay them. Let players pay their own agents fees much as they pay for their own cars. But at every level, a club with more cash would break such an agreement in order to gain an advantage. Getting rid of Agents, as they currently work, wouldn't suit the Real Madrid's, MU's or PSG's of the Football World.
Jack ross has made Peterborough united s Marcus Maddison his first signing Personal terms being agreed Deal is over 1 million Amazing left foot, but he can be Lazy Durham lad Good first signing
