Anyone else experiencing a power cut in Southampton city centre today?...

 

A few minutes ago. Tripped a circuit.
Back on almost immediately.

 

The power has only just come back on for my place... been off for almost 40 minutes

 

Ouch. We had a second momentary blip, which didn’t trip any switches in the fuse box.
Hope you get sorted soon.

I’m quite enjoying being in a different time zone than most of you.

It’s so great being 5 hours behind as you can all read my drunken rambles as you wake up

Meant to be going home on 11th, may stay an extra week as the grandchildren are so amazing.

Just got back from the Vets . Found a Hedgehog wandering around earlier .

My First thought was " That's nice , not seen one for ages " .

Second thought was " Why is he wandering around in circles in broad daylight " .

On Closer Inspection , I am sure the poor little thing has lost his eyes , so took him to the Vet . They will call later , but I think we know the outcome , at least we are doing the poor little thing a favour .

The Vet has just rung , he has not lost his eye's but has a nasty infection in both .
If he can eat , he stands a chance , they have given him injections , so he has a chance ​

Helen has done her zip wire and is alive and well... I think she’s having a lie down!

Just off to watch Solo.... the sun is burning away beautifully. but I can’t let the mad down like I did yesterday when we supposed to go. I fell asleep on the couch

Well, I did the zipwire thingie!! Absolutely terrifying, exhilarating and amazing at the same time. Funnily enough. I loved the longer, faster run but the shorter slower one that everyone does first scared the lights out of me - I was shaking once I got back on my feet! There's photographic evidence (not at all flattering!!) of the fast run and hopefully video as well though my helmet slipped a little so the camera is looking down rather than across but still pretty impressive I'm absolutely exhausted but so, so glad and pretty proud that I did it. It was insanely busy there but everything ran like clockwork as they're all so professional and really friendly.

Seriously, even if you're like me and scared of heights, I'd recommend doing it
