The management must have made a killing over the weekend. It really was busy. They only charged a pound over the odds for a pint, so still 2 quid less than inside the event. The BBQs were rammed as well. Yesterday, they put a free one on for the regulars with the stuff that was left. The festival goers were in good spirit and there were no kick-offs at all. went in after the match and it was busy, but manageable, but standing only as they'd shifted all the stools to make space. As I was leaving, about 200 of them arrived at the same time, but last orders had gone.
Were they draft pints or were they pouring them from cans as well ?? Classic undercutting tactics to take trade away, especially if they'd bought in a load of cans on the cheap to fill the plastic pint pots Good news on the free barbie ... bet you enjoyed the grilled halloumi
There was probably some of that going on, especially with shorts. I wasn't really watching. Looking at bare flesh most of the time
