Ranieri is a legend for winning us the title ... not for finishing above Forest or Derby ... Puel is not a legend even though he (like Ranieri) has finished top Midlands club ...

Our criteria for legendary status is obviously a bit more exacting than yours ... but I guess yours is a fair barometer of your achievements <whistle>

Mate this is Spurs we’re talking about. As HIAG has admitted, the sole pinnacle of their achievements over the last 25 years... finishing above Arsenal. He’s even adorned their manager with ‘legendary’ status for doing so :emoticon-0136-giggl

What he actually has form for is assuring his employers of his intention to stay, while his representatives negotiate with his new suitors in secret <ok>

Right up until the moment he left, he led Saints to believe he intended to stay <ok>

    He was loyal to Pochettino.

This has nothing to do with animosity to spurs.

Most of "us lot" acknowledge Pochettino for the brilliant coach that he is, and are prepared to accept that our own club's inability to match his limitless ambition probably played a part in his decision to leave.

We also know from first hand experience that duplicity comes as naturally to him as breathing. His ability to smile reassuringly while preparing to play the rat borders on genius actually. He's quite a smooth operator when it comes to putting himself first while pouring on the snake oil.

That’s the truth. Don’t laugh at things you know nothing about.

Your extreme bitterness is not only blatant, but unpalable. And clearly clouds your ability to see anything bar what you want to see about this issue.

About Archer's post. He's given a fairly accurate assessment of Pochettino without slagging off Spurs and you've jumped down his throat about it. Just an observation.

    Absolute Bollocks.

It’s his opinion and you see it exactly the way he sees it as it fits your blatant, obsessive hatred of Spurs.

Calm down mate. Any observer can see that Poch has form for this. He literally told Southampton that he was going to stay and then ****ed off. With your lot he hasn't even ruled out a move yet. Getting angry with me isn't going to change that.

Nobody knows what may have occurred between the time he said he would stay and when he left. We do know, however, that he was loyal to Cortese, and that he may have gathered further information about the circumstances of his leaving that when Spurs came in he chose to go.

Apart from anything else all managers are ambitious, but he’s been in England for several years now and his family are very settled here. That’s an important factor in anybody’s decision about their future. That and his very close relationship to Levy make me sure as anybody can be that he’ll stay, especially as he just signed a new deal with no release clauses.

If Levy let’s him down, that could change.

I think he'll stay mate, I can't see him walking out after just having signed a 5 year contract and more to the point Levy won't let him. But I do think his comments suggest that he would like the Real job. My guess is that he'll sound Levy out about it and will be met with a flat 'no way' and he'll get on with his job. Had Zidane left before he'd signed that contract though, and I think you'd be looking at finding a new manager.

    It's bollocks.

Don't pretend living in Spain gives you some arcane knowledge you don't possess.

If that's what you choose to believe.

Delusion is clearly as strong as it ever was amongst Spurs fans, if you are anything to go by.
