    You’re probably right, but I think that’s what he felt at that time. Perhaps he learnt something later about the whole Cortese saga that made him think again.

    He said that he would not insult Levy by forcing a move. That sounds more like he'd be open to asking but wouldn't go against Levy if he said no.
