They're trying to decide his value with the tiny increase the cheeky ****s. What part of we don't need to sell don't they understand?

Best tweet I've read on McNair and why 6m is a pittance and 3.5 is damn right insulting

Reading some reports on Newsnow suggesting we are holding out for 4mil, and a London club has offered 3.75 which was rejected. I hope that they expect/want 5+mil.

Sky Sports reporting second bid of £3,500,000 from Brighton and one of £3,750,000 from an unnamed London club

I don't see the point of selling him for that amount seeing as we've got strong backing now. I'm not saying 3 mil wouldn't improve the team but then so does McNair and better the devil you know.

You mean Brighton are holding out 4m, which they can shove right up their you know what. Until this fiasco I quite liked Chris Hutin now I think he wants Shotin, cheeky Basquiat.

If we must sell him, keep our powder dry. We sold Pickford too early in the wndoe

Seemed to have touched the I love Bain nerve.....if I remember at the time City paid 35 million for there young goalkeeper who had no Premier League experience. Pickford was clearly going become an England International very quickly and had gained the experience of an excellent season in the EPL in a struggling team. Getting 25 million for the lad was the going rate imo......hindsight always a wonderful thing maybe we should have got more but not going there with that argument. 3 million for Kaboul and 2 million for Vito I suggest was a bit low from a guy who was supposedly looking after our money.

There's interest in McNair no pressure on our part to sell with the current status of debt so lets see if we can get better deals the the previous regime. British player in the EPL easily should be 10 million imo....

I don't love Bain by any means I've just never had patience for people talking bollocks about him and since he got sacked that has increased. Kaboul and Mannone both insisted on leaving but eh, maybe we could have got more. Nothing that would have made any difference to anything though.

I agree though that we're in a strong position with McNair and the blokes in charge now certainly seem to know what they are doing. I think we're all sick of being the whipping boys on and off the pitch and it seems that has been stopped in its tracks.

Mahrez is a good example of how clubs don't have to sell just because they get a good offer. City have made multiple big money approaches, the player has been desperate to leave for years and yet so far Leicester have said **** off City and get on with it Riyad.

It's not as simple as 'money talks' even in modern football.

It's worth remembering that we paid £5.5mil for McNair, according to press reports at the time.

Since then the extra TV cash has inflated prices even further.

Most would agree that he is a better player now, if only because he has had more opportunity to show his ability.
This SHOULD be one of those rare occasions where we show a profit on a transfer out!

Just because we seem to be happy to get shot of some (all?) of our high earners at a loss isn't the same as saying it's bargain sales time at the SSOL.
The reason most of them will go at a loss is that we overpaid in the first place.

Not this time though it seems.
