You’re assuming Real are even interested. Why should he say that he’s not interested in a hypothetical situation. If I were Real I’d find that presumptuous.

And he’s said he’s very happy at Spurs.

Because he was directly asked about Real Madrid. And then made all sorts of open statements about his future. If he was going to rule it out he would have just said so and shut it down there and then.

You’re not listening and you don’t seem to understand how things work in Spain. If Pochettino said he had no interest in a job that he hasn’t even been offered yet, he would insult Real Madrid.

Not buying that. He could have just said 'I'm 100% committed to spurs and this is where I will be next season'. He didn't even need to mention Real, instead he's made all sorts of ambiguous statements about his future.

He’s said he’s very happy. He’s also said that he would not insult Levy by asking to leave, There IS no get out clause in his contract. Game, set, match.

But you believe what you want.

I believe he'll stay, but I'm intrigued as to why he increased the speculation rather than quashed it.

As I understand it, he said he will not insult Levy by forcing a move, that sounds like he might sound him out about a move, but wouldn't force one. As for saying he's happy, that's a throw away comment, footballers and mangers do it all the time and then they are off.

If Lowe can rule out speculation by saying 'I rule this out totally', why can't Poch ? Instead he's made all sorts of vague statements about his future.

The 46 year-old did not, however, dismiss the suggestion of a move to Madrid. Asked directly about the possibility of managing the European champions, Pochettino told AS: “I live in the present, there is nothing more important than that. I enjoy what is happening and what has to be, will be. Jorge Griffa [Pochettino’s former coach] told me once that I have to let football take me wherever, to not get bogged down in trying to change my own destiny.”

Surely when 'asked directly about the possibility of managing the european champions' if he wanted to rule it out he would have said
No, I rule this out' as Joachim Lowe said.

He said this though..."I am fully committed to the staff, the players, the club and it would make no sense to leave in the middle of our path."
By whatever definition you use, he was clearly duplicitous in leaving a few months afterwards don't you think?

    he hasn't said that though
in other words, I'm not in a position to say yes or no to Madrid until they contact me.
Personally, if I were his agent I'd tell him to wait a manager, following a triple CL winning manager is a hiding to nothing, let someone else fail first.

I've said a few times regarding this that I think Poch will wait until the next manager makes way at Madrid, before he goes there. I'm just intrigued why he hasn't poured cold water on the suggestion now, instead he's just fuelling the speculation.

Skiddy would sell his husband if it meant Poch leaving so I expect the odd fabrication from the Gary Glitter of Not606 as standard.

I don't need to hear anything bro. I'm just interested as to why Poch didn't just rule out the speculation like Joachim Lowe did.

Maybe he's thinking I can't say more than what signing a 5 year contract a few days earlier has already said, in the meantime, he's probably just wumming those that are prepared to latch onto everything.

Semantics. It amounts to the same thing. Here you don’t insult by refusing what you haven’t been offered

    Yeah <laugh> That's what he's doing.

He mentioned the 5 year contract by saying he signed it a few days ago but doesn't know what might happen tomorrow. Seems like he's wumming you lot if he's on the wind up.
