I agree it would be good if said I'm at Spurs for next season, end of matter. But, as you would know, he speaks like this all the time, even when he's not linked with anything. By his standards he is being unequivocal.
Pooch must be kicking himself that he’s signed that 5 year contact, knowing now that his dream job could have been his. Levy is unlikely to allow him to leave when Real come calling, and I would expect the resentment to brew as pooch slowly realises that he’s never going to win any pots with spurs.

I agree with you, his words show he is staying. But he has a slightly defensive way of saying stuff - noticed that a while back. He gives himself a tiny amount of wiggle room just in case.
I think he’ll stay, but the comments about ‘it’s not down to me’ and ‘it would be disrespectful to force a move’ etc suggest that given the chance, he would. But knows he’s just put a ball and chain around his neck by signing levy’s contact.
