Agreed, just look at Cardiff, Fulham and Wolves. All relegated from the premier league in recent years, failed to go back up at the first time of asking and now they're.... Ignore
If we end up a stable championship side like Ipswich I would be delighted. A Blackpool type decline is much more likely.
I’m pissed off we stayed up. Anything that highlights the pair of ****s’ mismanagement of our club can only help.
Worry not. Your wish will soon be granted (unless we get new owners). I sort of felt the same, but hoped for survival on the basis that there was a buyer in the wings dependant on our survival as per some rumours. Appears that wasn't the case ... or at least the twats have no intention of selling (unless they could make a killing). Given there appears to be no new owners, I too probably wish we'd got relegated. What a **** situation to wish that, but I just want them out of the club; anything else is pretty much irrelevant (like we fans are to them).
I expect Larsson, Clark, Moses & Herandez going will be announced by the end of next week Grosicki after the World Cup. I also would not be surprised to see Irvine & Bowen going too.
All with more money to spend that us. It must’ve been a nightmare waiting for the likes of Neves to walk through the door, what must they have been thinking?
Don't know what you're panicking about Driff. Everything is 24 hours in the Allams World .... sell the club ..... last hour before transfer deadline ..... etc Let's just hope in that last hour some ****er (if anyone is left) in the office remembers to put 10 bob in the meter AND plug the fax machine in, so Nige gets the players he wants, or maybe that should read what Lee err, Lee, err that Lee fella, Lee whatsisname, ****ing director of recruitment, Francis Lee, Lee Harvey Oswald, Lee, you know ehabs buddy gives him.
Cardiff spent diddly squat and we had spent more money on the players we had in our squad last season than any of the promoted clubs.
Well, Wolves didn't, that being said the previous season they spent just under £30m. Cardiff shelled out the better part of £7m for Gary Madine and fatboy Lee Tomlin. They did well in the loan market, though. I imagine Grujic would have commanded a decent loan fee. Most of Fulham's transfer fees were undisclosed, but Kamara was around £5.25m and Rui Fonte cost the better part of £9m after add ons. Stewart was the only big money player we signed and he was £4m, rising to £8m if we got promoted. Mazuch was about £600k and Irvine I think was £2m. I'm not saying it can't be done on the cheap, we've done it before, but it feels different this time. There's no optimism in the squad (Meyler hit the nail on the head when he said the turnover of players isn't helping the harmony), or amongst the fans. The three coming down will already be stronger, even if they lose their main players as they'll get decent transfer fees for their players. Our only saleable assets are Bowen and Grosicki, neither of which we want to lose if we want to have a chance of being competitive.
David Meyler telling it as it is, it's a shame that other departing players haven't been so forthright. Source Daily Mirror.
I expect he will walk once the inevitable unfolds. I really do. I hope i am wrong as i like the guy and i honestly think he could do a great long term job for us if it wasnt for the twats in charge.
He’s going nowhere, even if we sell Bowen and sign no-one, he’ll just say how pleased he is to have such a tight knit group.
