https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/may/31/real-madrid-mauricio-pochettino-tottenham not sure if this has been posted, but it could get interesting.
Just needs HIAG now to tell everybody there's no way Pooch will go, to confirm that he'll be Real manager
The interest is definitely there from Madrid. It's whether or not they'll be able to tempt Poch. But, as we know, what Madrid want, Madrid usually get. Plus with the rather magnanimous relationship between the two clubs, I am sure Sp*rs would be more than happy to accede to Madrid's demands. The only thing that might be a slight issue is the fact that Pooch hasn't won an ounce of silverware anywhere. Might put Madrid off.
Levy will shout and scream and say he's going nowhere. But Real know that money talks, especially with Levy. If Poch wants to go, then Madrid will get him
Neither had Zidane tbf. There are plenty of examples of RM hiring managers that either are new to management or have had little or no past success.
Idk, I think the Guardian is quite reliable when it comes to breaking news. There's certainly something there. We'll have to see where it goes.
Also in the Independent too. https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...o-tottenham-hotspur-daniel-levy-a8378011.html
Cue the nervous laughter and frivolity amongst Sp*rs fans fronting up bravely to the inevitable truth.
Oh and before anyone brings up the 5 year contract, it means nothing in today's market. Simply means they will be paid a premium to let Poch go and Madrid are certainly not short on spending power.
No buddy ... Wenger is the favourite to replace Poch if Poch goes to Madrid ... John Terry also being mentioned ... possibly why he didn't take the contract extension at Villa ... crazy eh?
