Thought I'd catch up on the thread, page 2 and it's already all about Spurs. Think I'll give the rest a miss...boring old ****e I've heard before.
Poch to Madrid is the big story bro https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...o-tottenham-hotspur-daniel-levy-a8378011.html
I know ZZ has done great at Madrid but does anyone else have reservations about wether he can do it with a team in the PL? He's been lagging in the league with Madrid.
PL is a different beast altogether. He wouldn't have the bottomless pit of money like he had at Real, and the competition would be much fiercer. Would like to see him in the PL though, to see how he does.
I'm tempted to say I'd have him at Spurs...if..a massive if, Poch leaves...but I have my reservations about him succeeding here.
Yeah, same I think he'd find it a lot tougher in the PL. You'd be better off with somebody like Chris Hughton mate
It's hard to judge just how good he is really, I was thinking about this earlier actu ally and it will be interesting to see how he does at his next club.
You taking the piss, bottomless pit of money, firstly Reals performances the basket case club (with world class players, zero balance and in fighting) So in 2 and a half seasons he's won 3 CLs (thats maxiumum) and 1 la liga. Name a manager whos done better than that in a 3 year stint (when really he only had 2 bites at la liga). As for his spend: 17-18 - Spent 32m, Income 115m 16-17 - Spent 27m, Income 33m. Basically he spent what you spaffed on xhaka mate. Think this video sums it up But agreed it'll be interesting what he does when he needs to build a squad and buy and sell players/
What the actual fck is a manageri? a rich man's ranieri? I think this thread needs to go places... Zidane at Madrid or Guardiola at Barca? Both ex-players for the respective clubs, both landed huge manageri positions in their first role, both accomplished huge success at those clubs.
