They lost 106m in their last year in pl before going down so no surprises. I’ll bet they’ll still mount a promotion push
Not bothered about other teams TBH, I was merely pointing out that throwing money at it, doesn't always work. I'm not sure regarding Radz, I'm hoping he has used the first season with us to learn what mistakes he may have made. He admitted that he was new to the football ownership thing. The upcoming weeks will soon show us.
I am willing to bet they finish above us next season even though we are about to appoint Zidane as coach and get in Hart, Bale, Rooney, Martial, Terry to bolster the playing squad .
No point betting with you, you don't pay up. But anyone else willing to cover those I would take them all and round them up to a tenner a pop. Stop wasting Moes housekeeping. Is she well?
Hull, Wendies, Derby and Villa all running with the same type finance model and gambling. Wendies had 2 seasons of spending and missed out on play offs first season but made it the second season but failed to go up. It killed them and this season shows what happens. Hull promoted under Bruce and straight back down with parachute money but fail, Bruce joins Villa, Hull collapse and fester this season although Hernandez now fit again brought back hope. Derby invested heavily and for the last 3 seasons have failed at the last hurdle, now in financial crisis although have taken Lampard on as boss might roll the dice again for him but no way will they spend like before. Villa were in free fall in the prem and have struggled up until this season when the Bruce plan kicked in after he spent shed loads on players and wages. Half this years squad are on loan or out of contract so huge losses and Terry has walked away too. Statement from the owner today shows that things are about to change big time. So money isnt always the answer but these 4 clubs dabbled and got burned because they didnt secure the right manager at the start of the project to see it through. Carvalahal at Wendies came late and did great last season but they got rid, Derby have tried anyone of repute like Steve Maclaren who wasted funds and that carried on now having a go with Lampard, Bruce left Hull because he couldnt get cash, Bruce saves Villa and following season spends shed loads and just misses out but even Villa were bad early on but were the first team guaranteed a top 6
Michael Dawson joins Forest from the codheads Dawson was easily the MOTM in our abysmal game at the KC Stadium https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44309529
Afternoon duke. How is Rounday today? I see the natives were getting restless down the road over the weekend.
I believe we have much to be optimistic about. We have some of the best young players we have had for years. Get the defence tightened up and our main need is for a leader. The rest will follow. (I hope)
Don't know I lead a very sheltered life.If they were I missed it we have been busy my eldest son is with us on holiday from Australia.
Regardless of what goes on pre season, you will always find a negative. So IMO your opinions are null and void...
