    Good Morning Everyone

Its destiny day for Yosuke Ideguchi. The Japanese midfielder will learn later today whether he wmakes the cut.

There are 35 in the squad. Only 23 can go.

Lee Sharpe has been speaking to Lee Sobot from the YEP about Leeds hopes for promotion!

“It’s a really tough league to get out of and to give yourself the best opportunity you have got to throw some cash at it to get some good people in there,” he told the Yorkshire Evening Post.

“It’s a no-brainer to me to throw 30, 40 or maybe even 50 million pounds at it for the money that would come in return for the Premier League. It’s an absolute no-brainer.”

Jansson has been speaking o the press about Leeds' season

"Yes, I hope so," Jansson told Swedish paper Expressen about the need for change at Leeds.

"As we have seen this year, things have to happen. It was really bad both on and off the pitch. Leeds wants to go up to the Premier League, that's how the club goes out and talks, and then there are changes.

"We came in the lower half of the second part of the season and it's not good at all." Asked if the difficult end to the campaign with the Whites had altered his confidence heading into the World Cup with Sweden Jansson replied: "No, but it's been a messy season.

"Changes in the team were stricter [in the] second half of the season with more training, which is not a problem for me, but [it was] incredibly messy and a big disappointment."

It is a tough league especially :

If you have owners with little ambition.
If a club sells their best players every pre-season.
If a club builds their team on the cheap signing players not good enough to handle the pressures of the championship.
If you have no spine in a team
If a team has no pace or quality in vital areas of the team
Has no game-changers on the bench.
And most importantly having the wrong coach/manager in charge of the club.

You forgot an owner that is prepared to run the club for a % return better than he could have got from leaving his cash in the bank.
Whilst Rad is able to sell a jewel and have 30,000 paying top prices whilst running the club on the cheap there is n incentive to seek the riches of the prem by taking a punt and investing properly.

I was prepared to blame Orta and the DOF role but they only exist because of Rad copying Cellinos business model. Rad is the problem here.

Pontus has every right to be disappointed as he has a winning mentality, he is right in saying last season was 'messy' from day one, lets face we couldn't even make a decision on who should be captain. We may just be lucky to get one more season out of him but we'll have to shape ourselves & show some ambition because our best players won't hang around wasting their career at a club with no desire to progress.

Interesting to interpret the final sentence of his interview

I didn't want to push my luck Glory :emoticon-0127-lipss

You know me, unlike many fans I'm unimpressed with Radz.

We went backwards last season when we should have shown improvement on our 7th position of the previous season

Morning all, hands up if you get stupidly optimistic about the first few transfers that might be announced, I can’t help myself despite knowing how it will turn out...

    1) We’re already linked with some seriously good players, same happens every season, we live in hope deep down knowing we haven’t a chance but we cling on to the hope.

    2) The first one we actually sign we’ll look him up on Wiki put up a YouTube clip and convince ourselves he is good.

    3) Second one will come in, we’ll look him up on Wiki and convince ourselves he is a good squad player, we need competition for all places.

    4) Third one in we’ll look him up on Wiki and a bit more frustration will creep him as we argue between ourselves if he really was on the verge of an International and how he is described back in his native home as (insert one) Next Bremner, The Terminator, Crucifier, Penetrator, Golden Balls.

    5) Transfer window will approach the end and we’ll get excited about loaning a PL star only to find ourselves with someone not wishing to be here and believing they are too much of a superstar to be playing for us.

I know it will happen but I still find myself hoping I’m wrong and tomorrow we will sign one of those we really want.

Good Morning to Matt and co from a dull Bardsey
Well I have every faith in AR and I hope he proves me right
He m ust get rid of PH who would then go back to Barnsley where he fits in
Buy some quality players heres my list
    Marriot and Madison
    Hernandez and Gunn
    Huth and Lansbury
This would give us balance firepower and a proper spine
It would appear that Villa like I mentioned after losing their playoffs are now in great trouble Bruce will be on his bike along with all the loanees and Grealish McCormack and anyone else who can raise money its going to be a massive fire sale So we must heed the warning too and tread carefully
Boro will also have to sell some star players I would love Traore but at what price

The average cost of a single home match day ticket to watch football in the Championship fell for the 2017-18 season.

The BBC's Price of Football 2017 study shows the average cheapest adult matchday ticket price is down from £22.11 to £20.58.

The league still has, on average, the most expensive away ticket in any league across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Unlike the Premier League, which has a £30 cap on away ticket prices, there is no such rule in the English Football League.

The average most expensive away ticket in the Championship is £31.69, compared to £29.50 in the top flight. Fans travelling to Sheffield Wednesday can pay up to £42 for their ticket.

The average cheapest cost of an away ticket is £22.42. Hull City offer the cheapest away ticket at £12.

The study asked 232 clubs across England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Europe for data on the cost of attending football.

It includes season and matchday ticket prices, away tickets and shirt prices as well as the costs for tea, pies and a programme.

The Price of Football: Results in full

    upload_2018-5-31_9-17-22.png

    Other Findings
More than two thirds of Championship clubs reduced or froze their matchday ticket prices, while at least half of the clubs' season tickets were cut or remained the same.

Overall, average season ticket costs rose slightly, with the cheapest rising from £335.15 to £337.02 and the most expensive from £573.50 to £588.02.

The highest average price an adult will pay for a single matchday ticket went down slightly to £35.96 from £36.13.

    • The most expensive season ticket is £929 to watch Fulham at Craven Cottage.
    • However Fulham also offer the third-cheapest season ticket at £254, behind Hull City (£252) and Birmingham City - who offer the lowest price at £230.
    • Norwich (£856.50) and Ipswich (£842) have the second and third most expensive season tickets.
    • Hull City offer the cheapest adult single ticket at £12, while Fulham have the most expensive adult matchday ticket at £50.

    The EFL's reaction

The chief executive of the English Football League, Shaun Harvey:

"Football does not exist in a bubble, but it is clear EFL clubs are doing all that they can to ensure it remains accessible to supporters young and old, in a tough economic climate.

"Ticket revenues continue to underpin the finances of EFL clubs and it is therefore correct that ticket pricing is a matter for individual clubs.

"However, the rise in attendances would only be possible if our clubs offered excellent value for money and it is clear they are reaping the benefits of developing and maintaining ticket pricing structures that reward the loyalty and dedication of supporters in growing numbers.

"It is particularly pleasing to see the number of young people attending EFL matches is continuing to grow and it is no surprise to see season ticket holders are continuing to reap the best value for money.

"I'm sure efforts to encourage families and youngsters to attend live EFL football at an early age will ensure football has a bright future with generations of supporters getting an early taste of the matchday experience.

"Analysis of official gate receipts submitted to the EFL reveals the average admission price received by all clubs is £13.53 across all three divisions."

How much to get kitted out?

Sunderland reduced the cost of their junior shirt this season, while Sheffield Wednesday offer reduced adult and junior prices for their special edition 150th anniversary shirts. All other clubs charged the same or more for adult and junior shirts.

The most expensive adult shirt is Aston Villa's, which costs £55.

The cheapest adult shirt is offered by Burton Albion for £39.99.

Sheffield Wednesday's special junior shirt is £25, while Middlesbrough and Aston Villa's junior shirts are the most expensive in the league at £45.

Pies, programmes and the full package

Leeds are the only club to increase the price of their programme - from £3.00 to £3.50. The club also increased away tickets and shirt prices but reduced single home matchday tickets.

The cheapest pie is available at Burton Albion for £2.80, while the most expensive costs £4.50 at Fulham.

The cheapest cup of tea is served at Burton Albion at £1.50, while the dearest can be found at Bristol City and Sheffield Wednesdayfor £2.50.

When it comes to the full day out - including the cheapest adult matchday ticket, a pie, cup of tea and a programme - you can get all that at Hull City for £20.40.

    Other offers
    • Ipswich will charge away fans £25 if the opposition club promises to do the same in return.
    • Members of the armed forces can choose one match a month to claim a free ticket at Preston.
    • Fulham offer discounted tickets for primary school pupils and teachers on a designated day during the season.
    • All under 12 season ticket holders at Bristol City get a free replica shirt.

Morning all. Nothing to add as the glaringly obvious has already been pointed out by 64. He attends every game and is entitled to comment unlike some of us

Morning all try and cheer up <bubbly>

Ideguchi dropped from Japan squad so well done Orta or whoever the fook made that crazy decision.

Best rumor today is free agent Joe Hart would come to get his career back on track?

I think we can say that either Pontus is leaving or Hecky. Pontus wanted Thomas to stay but they got rid and brought in Hecky who made them train and run more but got worse on the pitch. Pontus I suppose is speaking for a lot of players.

Someone mentioned that we always get loads of speculation about high profile players coming and then nothing happens. Let me correct that for you by saying, those high profile players were all Championship players the likes of Ricky Lambert, Simon Cox, Maclean etc etc etc. This is the first time I can remember that Prem players are spoken about, Huth, Hernandez, Bartley, Hart, Gunn, McClean, Defoe, Grabban, ........ I think that's because everyone inside the game can see the direction of travel and the way the club are thinking. Yes it all may be just talk and we get the usual wiki players to quote Ristac, but for now try and enjoy being associated with lower prem quality players instead of lower league, no name overseas players.

None of the speculation means anything Doc. Its who ends up playing for us and coaching from August on that counts. The rest is just spin and bloggers giving their opinions.

Amazing and don't forget Ousam Bhoy who we picked up on a free but sent him out on loan, he ran away twice, only played 3 times and all as a sub. Came back to Leeds before the Window opened at Xmas and couldn't even get more than one game for the kids. Then when you look at the club is the second tier of Spanish football, its run in partnership with Ivan Bravo a Leeds Director who owns the Aspire group and some Middle East cash. The coach is garbage and only got the club to 17th in a crap league and 2 Leeds players cant even get into a crap team in a crap league it stinks

The really scary thing it that their coach in high in the betting for getting our gig!!!!
Perhaps that would finally convince a few more that Rad really is taking the piss. I would have thought Hockabottom would have already don't that but some need to see the best in people.
