it will be the day after we announce our £20m CB, £30m attacking midfielder and our £40m new striker. _____________________________________- Hot damn! I'll get one for my pompey mate as well if that happens! Maybe
I met him in 2005 when we worked together. He used to give me such a hard time on the football front, I still can't understand how we became friends. Don't see much of him anymore......unsurprisingly!
Saints presented the Rolling Stones with a shirt after last night's concert. The old shirt. Talk about a marketing opportunity wasted to get the new shirt seen by millions. These are the reasons why the club does so poorly with commercial income for a club our size.
Hope it wasn't this one. not even Jagger's "moves" could save that rag.... please log in to view this image
That’s a massive open goal missed. Incredible and probably suggests that we don’t have true marketing experts at the club. This is something I have suspected for a while.
No doubt, but a quick search indicates that the the concert was announced on March 12th, and presumably it was in the works for a spell previous. So you're talking a minimum of seven weeks to consult with the sponsor and manufacturer...you wouldn't need to have the complete production of the shirt ready, and they no doubt already have some created in order to have them in stores by the summer. And doing so would benefit all of the parties, because it behooves all three to have the shirt seen by as many people as possible. It isn't the end of the world, but I agree: that was a gimme of a marketing win, at virtually no cost, and they failed to see it.
Of course, but with a global brand like the Rolling Stones playing at our ground in the post season, a sponsor such as Virgin media allying with Saints, should have been pushing for a date to match that. They may well have been but my guess is they didn’t even think about that.
You lot just can’t get no satisfaction outta the club these days. I guess you’d all see the red loo doors and want to paint ‘em black.
