    It’s no different than the media hacks for any of the “big” football nations. Difference is, players from other nations seem to be mentally stronger and find it easier to pay no mind than the distractions.

    No mention in the rag tops of the money that Sterling donated to the Grenfell fire funds ?
    nah just slag him off for getting a tattoo of a assault rifle, without asking why he had the tattoo - it is a dedication to his dad who was shot dead, and that he wouldn’t touch a gun. Where Sterling was brought up he could have easily got in to gang and gun culture

    The Italian media tried to destroy Rossi before the 1982 World Cup. When the going got tough, he got going. I think the point is how our players respond to this sort of bad press or media pressure in general. I'd like to see Sterling do exactly that, but I won't hold my breath.
