You don't get bail when tried for an offense under a suspended sentence. You've already been found guilty and warned if you repeat the offense you will go to jail. No trial by jury, no bail just a straight to jail do not pass go etc. As for the witness judge and court appointed solicitor well this new lot of fun has been discussed now again in the stupid expert fact filled post by the secret barrister UPDATE: In light of the (frankly ingenious) conspiracy theories that are now doing the rounds after the rather mundane truth above was revealed, some bonus Q&As are required: 11. I heard that Tommy Robinson was denied his own lawyer, and had to have a duty lawyer who was in fact a PROSECUTION lawyer and who didn’t properly defend him. This is quite something. But, sadly, Yaxley-Lennon was defended by an experienced member of the independent criminal Bar. He may have been offered the duty solicitor at the police station if his chosen solicitor was not available, but in the Crown Court hearing he was advised and represented by a specialist criminal barrister with over 16 years of experience of cases including murder, people-trafficking, serious violence and serious sexual offences. As an independent barrister, this professional prosecutes as well as defends (most of us do), but his website profile in fact emphasises his experience as a defence advocate. In other words, Yaxley-Lennon had a top-notch defence barrister fighting his corner. 12. No trial has ever taken place on the same day as a suspect’s arrest, oh FAKE LAWYER. This was special treatment dished out to a man who is a thorn in the side of the establishment. What do you say about that? If we were talking about jury trials, I’d agree with you. But Yaxley-Lennon was not “tried”. The contempt proceedings were held on the same day, as is entirely standard (see details of the summary procedure for contempt above), and he admitted that he was in contempt of court. There is no special treatment here whatsoever. Anyone, infamous far-right totem or otherwise, would have been subject to the exact same process for contempt in breaching a reporting restriction. Not everyone would have been sent straight to prison; but then not everyone has a suspended sentence hanging over them for a near-identical offence. 13. I’ve seen a photo of the judge who sentenced Tommy WATCHING HIS ARREST from inside the court building. This judge was BIASED. Even supposing the photograph shows what it is said to show, this is entirely irrelevant. If, as has happened in one of my cases, a member of the public starts shouting out at a judge mid-proceedings, the judge may direct the arrest of that person, and deal with them immediately for the contempt. Witnessing the arrest of an individual does not preclude a judge from dealing with that individual in these circumstances. This is, again, a complaint devoid of argument. 14. But the BBC reported on the same trial that Tommy did, and they’re not in prison. Why not? Because any BBC reports, which as far as I have seen relate entirely to the outset of proceedings before the judge made the reporting restriction, were not in contempt of court. They were fair and accurate, rather than propagandist rants seeking to disseminate information that a judge had specifically ordered should not be in the public domain (such as details of charges against the defendants that had been dropped). 15. Do you have to be so snarky in your lawsplaining? Aren’t you just turning off people who you need to convince? There are two types of people currently propagating the Free Tommy Robinson myths: far-right sympathisers deliberately sowing discord and falsehoods, whose concern for due process is a cipher for hero-worship of a racist cult leader; and good people confused and worried about what they’ve heard about the “threat to free speech” posed by the overbearing English and Welsh justice system. The first category are never going to be swayed by facts or rational argument. That is plain from their every interaction on social media, and their every appearance on Fox News. They are beyond reach, and frankly not worth the effort. The second group will, I hope, realise from this explanation that the toga party they have wandered into is in fact a Klan meeting, and will understand the urgency and frustration that underpins the argument. However the reality is that most people out in the world are probably paying little attention to the ballad of St Tommy, but may form partial views based on what snippets they read and hear. I want this – the truth – to be that snippet. If the key to turning up the online volume is a snappy tone and uncompromising beatdown of idiots and liars, then that’s the game I’ll play. https://thesecretbarrister.com/2018/05/25/what-has-happened-to-poor-tommy-robinson/
I very much look forward to continuing our friendly debate at a later date, sooner rather than later of course. Oh, don't forget how the police lied and deceived the solicitor, isn't that perverting the cause of justice or something.
Still pleaded guilty... and still correctly banged up. Given the prominence of the case if there is any truth to any of the stuff you spout no doubt charges will be brought and Robinson will be sprung... Oh wait a minute...
The basic question I was asking was would a gang of white **** rapists be released on bail into the same community they have been abusing, the short answer without the waffle is very unlikely. The other little point is you all tried, convicted and sentenced him without knowing what he had actually done, just who he is and hear says, isn't that just what Hitler did with the Jews.?
He pleaded gilty... so thee was no trial and the conviction was a given. The only area I agree with your complaint is in relation to your concern about the sentence. It should have been 13 years not 13 months.
Gassing would also be fine by me given he was guilty. He should have pleaded not guilty and got a longer sentence when found guilty IMO
Glad you've come out as the Socialist workers party Nazi I always knew and said you were,Me right again.
Replying to yourself wont fool anyone we all know its just you and LL. Released I look forward to him having an appeal following a guilty plea. You do post some ****e.
Yes he was, after the police lied to, and deceived his solicitor after telling him Tommy was being released, but he was then whisked straight into court' isn't that perverting the cause of Justice? 12. No trial has ever taken place on the same day as a suspect’s arrest, oh FAKE LAWYER. This was special treatment dished out to a man who is a thorn in the side of the establishment. What do you say about that? There was no contempt of court, the Judge made that quite clear to Tommy and the appointed court solicitor, yet Tommy was still tried for contempt of court, when there was no contempt of court. So where is the actual charge? The Judge also made it clear Tommy was being tried for the offence of which he was in front of the Judge for, which was contempt of court, but the Judge had already made it clear the previous suspended sentence had nothing to do with Tommy's case and was irrelevant, but still tried for contempt of court.......Kangaroo court, there was no contempt of court. 13. I’ve seen a photo of the judge who sentenced Tommy WATCHING HIS ARREST from inside the court building. This judge was BIASED. If a Judge is a witness to an incident, he cannot sit on that case, that is the law, the Judge is a QC, he should've known that. Checking the picture of the Judge in window, you will see the female police officer to the right of the Judge, the same female Police officer was also involved in the arrest of Tommy Robinson. Looks highly probable the Judge told the police to arrest Tommy, which he cannot do. Once the paddy wagon had gone, the Judge wouldn't have nothing to look at, and the female officer would've had to get to the Judges office very fast, considering her weight, highly unlikely. The Judge was watching Tommy Robinson before he got arrested. Geoffrey Marson QC is also the same Judge that sat in the Muslim Rape gangs case to sentence them. 14. But the BBC reported on the same trial that Tommy did, and they’re not in prison. Why not? The BBC and other MSM had already reported on, and released details of the Muslim Rape gangs sentencing case that morning, Tommy was just quoting from the MSM details. Once the ban on the rape gangs case was installed, the MSM pulled their articles. Do you think Tommy was aware of the ban once the BBC and other media pulled their articles, considering Tommy would've been outside the courthouse early? Tommy's actions did not prejudice the case in any way as it was a sentencing, not a trial in progress. Tommy was not ranting like a propagandist, he asked the rapists what they thought of their sentencing, the rapists also had their prison bags. You know the story of what happened at the foot of the courthouse steps. question is, if Tommy was committing a crime, why didn't the police arrest Tommy at the foot of the courthouse stairs, instead of further down the road? 15. Do you have to be so snarky in your lawsplaining? Aren’t you just turning off people who you need to convince? Granted, No. Do you, and others have to condemn an innocent man before doing your research first?......if people don't want to believe me, they can go on you tube and do research themselves, they have that right. However the reality is that most people out in the world are probably paying little attention to the ballad of St Tommy, but may form partial views based on what snippets they read and hear. I want this – the truth – to be that snippet. If the key to turning up the online volume is a snappy tone and uncompromising beatdown of idiots and liars, then that’s the game I’ll play........Wouldn't you also be thinking along the same lines to come to your opinions and views? The Tommy Robinson case went virtually worldwide within a few hours, and further after 1 day. Some countries have, and are organising protest marches. If you go on you tube you'll see all the videos what people in Britain, and around the world think of the TR arrest, and case. A hint, it's not in favour of the Judge, corrupt police or Government. DBC, it was all a set up, a QC and some corrupt police wanted their 15 minutes of fame, instead it backfired on'em and they're having their arses kicked. . I've added this video later. Caolan Robertson has been Tommy's friend and cameraman for years, he was in court with Tommy Robinson. .
Chippy, Chippy, Chippy, the circumstances surrounding Tommy's arrest are enough to call for a mistrial and have the sentence overturned and quashed.
I would enter a guilty plea when I could see things have been rushed and everything wasn't kosher/halal(take your pick), for one what started out as a live facebook feed and has now gone global and for two the case will be thrown out and he'll be out in less than two weeks. From what I understand he is in no danger in Hull prison as he is being well looked after, move him to Armley and your beloved people of peace will be queueing up to slit his throat.
I'm ok LL, fecking heat is a pain though. Yes I see there is lots of banter going on. Nothing much coming out of ER at the moment.
The cowards this man is referring to is people like Glory, thick, uneducated sheep and the reason why thousands of underage girls are being raped all over the country by paki rape gangs, their cowardice failing to stand up against this ****ing outrage is disgusting, maybe they like a bit of young meat themselves, who knows I wonder if he will call him a racist for speaking the truth, probably not, for obvious reasons
