I actually had ( and destroyed a Nissan navara, no mean feat) that was a superb motor. It's not the fact I don't like them, the do some great looking cars. It's just they are common as ****e and driven by miserable ****ers here.

Its mainly Japanese cars here unless you want to pay a fortune. Both Honda's I have had (CRV and Jazz) have been good cars. Jazz was a bit small for me but wife and daughter loved it. Daughter wrote it off on the toll road swerving it into the crash barrier and rolling it twice. She walked away with a few cuts and minor whiplash. The chassis was completely deformed but the actual drivers area stayed strong. Impressed with that but not her. We ended up having to pay about US$100 for damage to the crash barrier.
Wife now has a Nissan Juke which is nowhere near as nice as the Jazz. I blame Sunderland.

Dropped my car off at the dealership today as the rear suspension keeps deflating overnight (I ****ing knew I should steer clear), it's happened about five times since I've had it so I decided it had to be looked at.

Within an hour they phoned me saying "your car is ready sir", to which I inevitably said "how the **** can that possibly be?".

They looked at it and decided it 'looked ok' and that was ****ing it.

It's air bag suspension sir, that's what happens. No, it isn't. You don't wake up in the morning to only be able to see the bottom half of your rear wheels at all, please have another look.

I'm driving round in a ****ing Ka+ for the week. It feels all wrong, and it is all wrong.

Sounds either like a leaking air bag or compressor problem. I had an Audi Allroad with the same problem, was a ****ing nightmare to be honest.

She had a Citroen Picasso with the same and it was exactly that, a nightmare.

I had to tell them exactly the same as you've just said, one or both bags leaking or it's a valve/the compressor.

Most of the time those cars have a module that tells the computer what ride height it should be at, so it could be one bag that's leaking and the rear sus is trying to level up each side. That then often sends the front sus out of alignment, so that then tries to compensate and you end up with a big mess. I used to come out to my car in the mornings with it either looking like a drag racer or looking like I was carrying gold bullion in the boot.

The problem with a leaking bag is that the compressor then has to work overtime as it's constantly trying to inflate the leaking bag, and so then the compressor wears out. Also the whole thing will throw loads of error codes and confuse the **** out of the car.

What are you driving ? In the allroad, there was a button on the dash to set 4 different ride heights, so I used to get round it by setting it at level 1 so the car would level out, and then increase the ride height incrementally. It was a temp fix as one of the bags was leaking so it would always drop one end. But yours is under warranty right ? Make sure they get it plugged in to diagnostics because that will show the error codes and then they can sort the problem out.

    It's the 520 touring.

They have phoned me back but I was in a meeting, can't get the ****ers to answer the phone now.

    I'll try again now!

Been looking at Suzuki Vitaras - tempted to jump on the mini SUV bandwagon.

Keep the UP for work and let the Mrs have the Vitara. Use it for family **** and camping etc.

I was tempted with the grand Vitara a while back. It's nice enough looking and that but overall you can tell it's a cheap car with the ride etc.

Reckon the VW T-Roc will be a much better mini SUV tbh. But I'm a bit biased towards the VW/Audi/BMW platform

them & its twin brother Citroe Berlingo were very popular WAV's at that time. They must have been really cheap & easy to alter.

don't know why but Fans post reminded me of seeing way back a mini countryman which had been adapted so just looked for a pic & that was the closest to my memory.
I apologise for not alerting other posters to the horror awaiting them but couldn't find a " Not Safe For Those with Taste" button :emoticon-0101-sadsm
