The reason for this being that filming or protesting could have an affect on the jury decision making on the case. Despite being warned what would happen if he did he still went ahead and did it, hence the arrest and prison sentence. Despite what the Neanderthals who support him say he was not arrested to take away his right of free speech. The man is a racist who is making a living off getting himself in the media and taking donations/book sales off the racist Neanderthals out there.

I think that's a case of what you'd like it to be, but it isn't the case. When a court case is sub judice, reporting restrictions are normally lifted, but not always. In this case, the restrictions are in place for a very good reason - it's a 3-part trial, and this is only part 2. If a jury or future jury might be influenced by public discussion of a high profile case (with most of the facts replaced by fantasy, hate & bias, normally - as in this case!), then reporting restrictions are put in place. And the racist bastard knew fine well - the Judge made it perfectly clear to him when sentencing him to a suspended 3 months sentence. And surprise, surprise, he didn't listen, knowing full well that it was a max publicity scenario.Guess it's going to be solitary for him then, eh? Put it this way - if the racist bastard had been allowed to proceed, and as a result of it, all of the defendants were released without charge, entirely because of his actions, how would you feel? You're confusing nationality with religious inclination. Asians are not a race. Nor are Muslims, Catholics etc. There are Christian Asians, and Muslim British (of all colours).

When was the last time you saw a news report which was filmed inside the court room or indeed inside the court building. They always have the artist impressions and the reporter filmed from outside the building. They also refer to the suspects as suspects not "Tommy Robinson in Canterbury exposing Muslim child rapists, Police help them escape".
