Ah, so it's going to be yet another massive overreaction to something irrelevant that a English players done just prior to a international tournament... #cool

better that than a Liverpool player.

I just wish henderson was mildly injured as i would have thought midifelders who lack creativity would be the obvious targets.

Hendo gets enough stick already, the media don't need to do anything to get people to turn on him.

It’s due to him being okay at football but he is no Gerrard, Lampard, Carrick or Scholes.

Sad state of affairs when we are so lacking in quality

Was having a mini sabbatical from football for a few days after Saturdays defeat but heard we'd made a signing on local radio, got on to the BBC and read the story, however, on the prominent front page there's this story.
    The first paragraph goes....

"Young Manchester United fans found themselves with a dilemma on 29 May, 1968 - skip school to watch their team become England's first European champions, knowing only too well the repercussions that awaited: the teacher's cane."

That situation wasn't exclusive to Utd, loads of kids bunked off school in our winning years to go to the finals(my mrs's cousin was one of them), a story in the echo back in 77 about a man going out to buy a loaf but never came back with it for 4 days because he ****ed off to Rome without telling his wife plus loads of other stories, no doubt Celtic, Villa, Forest and Chelsea fans have similar stories, it's just crass bias by the beeb to make a big ****ing deal because it's the anniversary of them becoming the second British club to win it.
Maybe in another 9 years they'll be good enough to write a similar article on the first British club to win it twice.:emoticon-0105-wink:

England binned off scholes then begged him back for years and he wouldn't come.

I know what you mean mate. I couldn't sleep Saturday night, mulling it over and over <laugh>

Someone once told me that as human beings we have a whole range of emotions, most of which we rarely use. I find that watching LFC gets me my share of frustration, disappointment, excitement and at times, sheer ecstasy - most of which I don't feel at any other time.

The amount of red flags still proudly (but sadly) flying out of car windows and on aerials all around town on Sunday shows where the true fans are lad. Just ignore the mass media and skip your daily dose of BS
