so you think he's staying considering who you are bracketing him with . I seriously expect Sturridge to still be with us until at least Jan and as for Markovich he only leaves if someone has been smoking Skylarkers stash .
After Salah went off certainly. I could understand, just, hanging in there until half time to regroup but the 2nd half was tame even before Karius got involved. Sure the bench was weak but who's fault is that?
I did expect SOME reaction post HT. We made another mistake via TAA and isco hit the bar. Really we never picked ourselves up which was poor. the 1-1 scoreline was a moment that needed people to drive on but they certainly utterly gave up after 2-1
Injuries happen and nobody is to blame. The lack of back up though is a management issue. Even more so after selling Coutinho
We still had a team and a bench despite injuries. We'd just used the options. We're not going to have three high quality players per position like Man City. How many times does Klopp have to say he didn't want to see Coutinho too? I admire him not rushing into getting a replacement, we should always look to get the right guy rather than but for the sake of it.
Agreed; for far too many years we've bought players to fill holes seemingly without too much thought. I think Klopp was reluctant to let Coutinho go in January but believed in the squad and his ability to reinvent the team which was proved by getting to the Final. It needed an almost perfect performance from us to win it but when Salah went Klopp was out of ideas and resources. The players knew it too.
Out of interest, what if our summer window finished like this: In: Allisson, Fabinho, Fekir and Keita Out: Salah (plus/minus minor players) Would we take that?
No. Not without another pacy player in the Salah mould. Mane is good... I think he's almost as good as Salah when pushing up like Salah does... But if we lost Salah we would be at huge risk if Mane was injured. Last year we were crap without Mane.
