Gunners defender discussing Loftus Road switch Traore: Has struggled to hold down a regular role at Arsenal The 21-year-old is a product of the Gunners' academy system and appeared set for a bright future at Emirates Stadium when he made the breakthrough into the senior set-up. He has, however, lost his way somewhat over recent years and has slowly slipped down the pecking order. Traore has taken in loan spells at Portsmouth and Juventus in an effort to find games, with Arsene Wenger overlooking him on a regular basis. The Senegal international has struggled to force his way into the Gunners' plans again this season, despite their well-publicised injury and suspension problems. Talks He was handed a rare start against Manchester United on Sunday, but failed to catch the eye as Arsenal were hammered 8-2 at Old Trafford. Less than 24 hours on from that humiliating display and it now appears that Traore could be on his way out of the Emirates. QPR are busily bolstering their ranks before the transfer window closes and it is understood that they are closing on a deal for the French-born left-back. Reports suggest that Traore is at Loftus Road for talks and to prove his fitness to his prospective employers. iReader
Just seen it on YouTube. Cascarino's face when she flagged it is funny. Its like "What you on about love"? He has a history of dropping clangers. Like when he said he never even had an Irish granny before a crucial qualification game!
At Juventus he only played a few games as the regular left fullback broke his leg, he is good going forward, have not seen him cross a good ball, defending, well no comment!
I think there is something we should all remember, here and now, Warnock is busting a gut to bring in the players we need in a fraction of the time that he should have had. What it does mean is that out of all of the players he's signing, some might not make it, some might really stink. But please remember that if that does happen, not to jump on Warnocks back, remember that his hands were tied and now he's playing catch up. So far I see only Leon Clarke as his only duff signing, but as he stated at the time, he cost nothing so there was nothing to lose. But he is making some quality signings, Gabbidon, Barton, Dyer, Bothroyd, DJ, and young and so far he's only spent 3.5 million. We are set to increase that considerably but if these players do keep us in the Premiership, then even with the extra spending, if any of the players don't work out it will still have been worth it. So it still goes down to "In Warnock we trust".
One thing's for sure, he's got everybody talking as he's trending on Twitter. I clicked on his name on the trends and after only 10 seconds of being on the list there were another 48 tweets. Arsenal fans seem glad to see him go, most Rangers fans seem happy to have him. But who will be the happier set of fans come the end of the season?? We've seen what Warnock can do with a player that hasn't achieved much at his previous club, and at 22, Treore, an international left back is just what we need. Besides aren't we also getting Bridge?
Hmmm, Arsenal are in desperate straights by their standards but are willing to let one of their few fit defenders go. Something fishy about that. If Wenger sees no future at all in a young man like this is difficult to see what will change under NW. Regular football might be the answer I suppose but anyone remember a certain Zesh Rehman - also a young international defender with great potential but short on match practice. He did look pants againt Man U to say the least.
The whole of Arsenal's team looked pants yesterday, but are you saying you wouldn't take half their team in a snap?

Somebody has already changed Traore's entry on Wiki saying that his medical was successful and signed for us this morning!
I remember when he was drafted in against Chelsea a few years back, looked sharp, eager to get forward. Think with Young on the right and Traore on the left could be interesting. At least its competition for places anyway.
he not a bad player think he was a bit exposed against man u he still young so dont be to harsh, he had no one to help him in the match i think he will do a good job for us
I have always thought because of his pace and agility, Traore would always be better deployed as a wing back or a left mid. But as you say he is only 21, Ashley Cole and Patrice Evra weren't great defenders at 21 but look at them now, even in their 30s. Not saying he will be as good as them because he won't, but he can improve. I personally feel in the short-term Luke Young will be a much better signing and if you guys get Scott Dann as rumoured I would go from saying you are relegation candidates to a being not too far away from a midtable team. I have my reservations about Warnock, but to be fair his record speaks for itself and it's early days but Tony Fernandes despite his West Ham roots seems intent on taking QPR in the right direction. QPR may not be the biggest club in England or even London but they are good enough and big enough to be a permanent fixture and would be good for the H&F borough too
