You haven't read the judges notes then - if you want to know why he was in contempt of court if you want know why he is in jail and knew what he was doing would put him in jail read the final bit. I've bolded the warning which says that he knew it would happen The question therefore comes down to what the appropriate disposal should be. In my judgment, an apology, although it is an apology which I accept and for which I thank you, is not sufficient. Neither do I feel in this case that a financial penalty is appropriate. It seems to me that this does need to be met with a custodial sentence. The only question in my mind is whether it might, in the circumstances and bearing in mind that which Mr. Kovalevsky has told me, and which I accept from him about the potential dangers that you might face were I to send you into custody immediately, and bearing in mind the need to ensure that this trial is kept on track, and bearing in mind the fact that, as he says, you will now be under no illusions whatsoever as to what you can and cannot do, whether it might be possible in your case to suspend the sentence of imprisonment which I would otherwise have imposed. Would you stand up, please. I take, as I hope has been made very clear by the comments that I have made, a very dim view indeed of your conduct which was in the face of repeated warnings that you should not do that which you did do. I accept what Mr. Kovalevsky tells me about the dangers that you might face were you to be sent into immediate custody. I have to say it is on a knife edge so far as I am concerned because a very large part of me thinks so what? you could be put into protective custody. But, my concern is to make sure that this trial keeps on track, and my concern is also to make sure that other courts with other trials in similar situations are kept on track without any danger of repetition of the kind of conduct that we have had visited upon us here. The sentence, therefore, that I pass upon you, taking into account all of those matters that have been placed before me and your admissions entered via Mr. Kovalevsky, is one of three months' imprisonment which will be suspended for a period of 18 months. That will be suspended. There will be no conditions that need to be attached to that suspended sentence, but you should be under no illusions that if you commit any further offence of any kind, and that would include, I would have thought a further contempt of court by similar actions, then that sentence of three months would be activated, and that would be on top of anything else that you were given by any other court. In short, Mr. Yaxley-Lennon, turn up at another court, refer to people as "Muslim *****philes, Muslim rapists" and so on and so forth while trials are ongoing and before there has been a finding by a jury that that is what they are, and you will find yourself inside. Do you understand? Thank you very much.
In a country with Muslim no go area's,a country where Muslims regularly walk through London waving ISIS flags, next to Police officers, why does the laws only get acted on if your white.
One of the ares I work in is near Trafalgar Square and so lots of protest marches pass by on route down to Whitehall to end up near Downing Street. In 7 years I have never seen an ISIS flag much less regularly. Tourist regularly stand on the wrong side of escalators at least 4-5 times a week I encounter that in 22 years of living in London including 2 years in Tower Hamlets I have never seen an ISIS flag. Freedom of spech is protected, being exempt from contempt of court laws are rightly not protected for anyone
I've seen many on tv,are you saying the bbc,sky news etc are fabricating the news, please log in to view this image Here's one you missed, outside the very place where they killed a police officer.
Yes one example and one so regular that the police had to actually check what an ISIS flag was. http://uk.businessinsider.com/why-p...aring-an-isis-flag-in-london-2015-7?r=US&IR=T Regularly see Nazi salutes when facists march in London. Which happens much more regularly and again do not involve arrest when they do.
But what did he do in the hour prior to his arrest that caused a breach of the peace? Do you know of any other cases, where someone was tried, convicted and sent to prison within hours and a gagging order put on the British media?
According to you they do fake news whenever their output doesn’t suit your agenda. Stop cherry picking.
you're funny, they didn't arrest him because they didn't know what one was, should have asked any of the hundreds around who did seem to know what it was.
Stop making up bullshit and lies, show one post where I've said they do fake news. You're becoming a right billy bullshiter.
You have claimed fake news each time a negative Brexit piece has aired and been highlighted... can’t have it both ways... The right wing **** should be kept banged up and if this is the pretext then so be it. He don’t speak for anybody but racist filth..
Show me one case where I have said a fact is fake news,ps joe bloggs saying in his opinion ! is not a fact.
And your opinion this piece of ****e shouldn’t be locked up is also not a fact. You rather made the point. Well done on getting there in the end.
