To be fair he's not been able to moan much in the last few weeks given they've won 5 from 6.

Yes, that is true. And I forgot, as I saw they had beaten a team from a place the size of Driffield in the 6th round of tbe Challenge Cup, all the teams they had beaten to reach that late stage of such a prestigious competition.

At a bit of a do yesterday discussing the merits of football v rugby league, few rovers fans there, couple of fc and me. All the rl fans had a favourite premier league team and all followed City in the PL, but none go now 'City are ****'.
Topic, what was it the best away game you have been too ? Mine seeing City beat Arsenal away, a rovers fans quipped in, 'I was there for that one, it reminded me of when rovers beat Oldham away once' I kid you not, beating Oldham away ranks alongside City winning at Arsenal ????
The fc fans said 'the magic week end when we beat rovers, there was nearly 4,000 in the ground who stopped back to watch it, what an atmosphere'
The ground is St James Park, Newcastle. They didn't even know City had been there and beat them three times in recent years in front of a full house.
I didn't stay till the end.

Praising a club which plays a different sport is indeed cringe making. Which is why there has never a " Congratulations to Hull City" thread on the FC forum. Of course them not wanting us to do well and no wish to congratulate us when we do anything of note will play a part as well...

Plenty of threads make me cringe but Imdon't ask for them to be locked because I don't like or don't sgree with them. I am not that small-minded.

Good, and yes that was uncalled for.

Some of us support City and Hull FC or Rovers, it's hardly a crime to have a thread on here.

Some harbour seemingly deep hatred for all things Rugby League.

    Each to their own.

I first went to an FC game in 1968 with a City supporting mate from Hull who had moved round my way and also supported FC. When I moved to Hull and lived there often went to FC games when City weren't playing.
That finished for me on 28th April 1980.
