We now know that it was a big mistake to let Pepe Reina leaves Liverpool.

I still blame Kewell for diving instead of tackling in the lead up to one of Milan's goals. If he hadn't been such a crappy flake who knows how that would have turned out.

And Mane - love this guy!! He stepped up and did as much as he could have. One of the few who didn’t go into a shell. And he battled with Ramos, which I loved.

He really gave all he had.

maybe some instruction to him to play higher would have helped. He was actually blocking the ball that bale scored off and deflected it just enough.

It really was a case of 3 or 4 destroying the game plan.

It is when our chips are down that you get to see the true winners in the team. Henderson, Wij and Milner always forget how to pass the moment any pressure is put on us. It is no surprise that Keita and possibly Fekir are being considered. We have been very dependent on the front three and when one is unavailable we are very toothless.

You could see the difference that Kroos and Modric bring to that midfield in terms of control. It is a tough lesson but we will learn from it. If we can get Neves and Fekir that would be one hell of a midfield for the next campaign.

100% mate. I know people are against wholesale changes but I wouldn’t be upset at all if our whole midfield is overhauled.

Keita is joining and Fekir appears to be close. Upgrade the number 6 and the midfield is suddenly transformed and a lot stronger in terms of quality and depth.

We always say it but this summer is crucial.

I think there is too much negativity about Milner and Henderson on here.

Can they be improved... Sure... But both are very useful and hard working players. Henderson is no Gerrard, but I think Milner does a more than adequate job in any position he is asked to fill in for.

I think they're both underappreciated, especially Milner. Not saying we don't need to improve on them, but I am saying, if you want to pick on someone on the team, I can give you 5 or 6 players to pick on before Milner and Henderson.

It is not picking on them but more around their lack of technical ability is exposed while we are under the cosh. In a two legged tie, you can get away with mistakes but in a one off game like a final you cannot afford that. They have both been brilliant but if we have to get close to the Citeh's and Reals of this world we have to accept that we need upgrades.

Andy Robertson shows what we want

According to the Daily Mail, he was so discontent with coming second that he buried the medal deep in his wash bag and said he doesn't know if he will ever take it out.

"I don't know what I will do with it. That's for another day," he added. "It is still an achievement to get here but second is as good as last in my book.

Yeah. 2007 lost the ball, did a blatant dive instead of back tracking or trying to win ball back. No pressure on Milan player (forget who) led to them ultimately getting one of their goals... There were other factors too... But the Milan move all started with a Kewell dive when he should have stayed on his feet and fought for the ball.
