Btw... Hamann has become one of the most bitter nasty ****ish ****ers that ever played for us. What link does he have with Klopp because he absolutely hates him.
Good thing and bad thing ... Good... the number of oppo fans tgat wished us luck beforehand The oppo fans that crawled out their rock to bitch... we see you... you have won **** all... (seriously vast majority teams ) Go ahead darlings. . Not call you girls because we have a proper one in @wishiwasinliverpool .... you lot would be lucky to kiss her arse.
Ahh that was painful!! Such a shame to lose in such a manner - losing our best player early on and two massive howlers from the keeper. What hurt the most is how we lost all momentum once Salah went off. Even without Karius’s howlers, I struggled to see how we would have won. It shows you how important it is that we sign another attacker because the gulf in quality between our front three and the back ups is just too large. A lot of the spotlight will have been on Karius and the Salah injury but it should also be on Henderson and the midfield. We didn’t lose because of Henderson but we couldn’t win because of him. He’s probably the only number 6 in world football who doesn’t want the ball. He constantly hides behind players and his first instinct is to pass back whenever pressed. Not to mention the lack of leadership skills as well. As I say, he’s not the reason why we lost but we’re not gonna win much with players like him. And I suspect this is a big problem for klopp and why he struggles in finals - it’s his admirable loyalty to players with good attitudes and work rates but ultimately offer little quality. We need klopp to become ruthless now - Lallana has no place starting for us. Ings and Solanke are not good enough (even as back ups.) Henderson needs upgrading Gini is a ghost Milner is a decent squad option but nothing more. Lovren needs upgrading (he was very good against Real By the way) Karius needs upgrading - I do like him and I think he can develop into a good keeper however the first goal is just unforgivable in my book.
Having said all that, we shouldn’t too disheartened. We had no right being in the CL final considering it was only 3 years when we lost 6-1 to stoke!! We have progressed so far in such a short space of time - all thanks to klopp! There will be more finals and there will be glory. We have CL secured for next season which should mean we can buy better players and improve our squad. This is just the beginning ...
Agreed. Not the first loss in a final. Probably first time so much optimism is warranted after losing a final though.
Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk lashes out at ‘jealous’ domestic rivals following Champions League final loss The defender insists ‘there is no limit’ to what the team can achieve https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...eague-final-jealous-rivals-goal-a8372421.html
Why? It’s awesome. I remember before Klopp and that era when I was more obsessed with other clubs failures than our success. Glad that’s gone.
Love the lad, he's quality. Does irritate me that he keeps getting referred to as a youngster though, he's 24
